I Love Nissan Maxima - 1997 Nissan Maxima
By cjli - November 20 - 10:00 amI have a 97 Maxima and I love it. I used to drive a 84 maxima with 112K on it. For both Maximas, I never wonder if my Max is going to start when I get in to it, no matter in winter or hot summer. I love everything the Maximas offer, mileage, power, comfort, overall performance, reliability etc. Driving my maximas, I enjoy the interaction between my hands and the road furface. They seem never break down or say, never upset you. My next new car will still be Maxima. I have a 99 Toyota Corolla, but the performance is just so bad. Forget Toyota!

Perfect, great car, totally reliable - 1997 Nissan Maxima
By suecag - November 4 - 4:40 amI have owned my 1997 Nissan Maxima GLE for 5 years (purchased from a private owner). I have never had any issues whatsoever. I have never had to get any repairs besides the regular oil changes, tires, etc. And it is perfect inside and out. It is wonderful to never have to worry about your car.

This car is Awesome - 1997 Nissan Maxima
By Nic - October 11 - 12:16 pmI love this car because I was hit by a Ford Taurus and it was smashed to pieces (which is saying something about that car...), but my good ol Maxima was barely even scratched. I also like the power in my V6 engine. It makes it fun to drive and also gives me an edge on other guys at my school who spends countless hours and tons of money making their cars better. It feels good to just get out there and floor the car just the way i bought it and end up being just as fast and most of the time even faster than the people around me... Its an awesome car and so far, I havent had any problems...**knock on wood**

Maxima SE 1997 100000mi - 1997 Nissan Maxima
By Slavik - October 9 - 10:00 amGreat car, but if something is wrong u have to PAY. I had a few problems with a couple of my sensors, each time I had to fix it, it was 300 bucks Other than that the car is very cool. Fast and comfortable (still). Next time, Ill buy new, so waranty pays for all these minor problems.

Sold on Maximas - 1997 Nissan Maxima
By bgrimme - May 4 - 10:00 amThis car still rides, runs and looks like brand new at 141,000 miles. Its also the most dependable car Ive ever driven. It still has the original exhaust system on it! Besides normal maintance items the only things that Ive had to fix were the A/C and an Oxygen sensor and that was in the last year. The engine doesnt burn or leak oil. The car accelerates hard and tracks straight. Everything works on the car and for the most part there are no squeakes or rattles. Its an incredible car.

The Best Car Ive Ever Owned - 1997 Nissan Maxima
By jgerke - April 15 - 10:00 amAlways a Honda/Acura owner I wasnt too interested in becoming a Nissan owner, until I drove this car. We purchased it new and now have 55,000 miles on ours... and it has never been in for repairs of any kind. New tires and regular maintenance only. What a GREAT engine. For 190 HP it gets good gas milage... 22-23 around town. Very comfortable ride. We feel we got a good one!
