Overview & Reviews

Rear disc brakes are added to all models. An Orvis trim package is added to the Limited 4WD. New options are an integrated child safety seat and a flip-up liftgate window. Optional V8 engine gets a torque increase. A 2WD Limited model is newly available. A power sunroof is added to the options list.

  This has been a good vehicle for me. Lots of fun. Great for towing our 17 foot boat. Comfortable on our 15 hour fishing trip drives to Canada. Great sound system. Love the all-wheel drive in wet/snowy weather. Only major problem over the years has been a lot of headaches with the air conditioning -- it is a problem every year.

  This has been a fantastic vehicle for us. No major problems in the almost 8 years we owned it. Only one minor transmission leak along the way and we were told that, at 183,000 miles, it had many, many miles left. Cant rave enough about this rig.

  I truly hate to get rid of our Jeep, but it is getting up in miles and we needed more room due to amount of traveling we do w/our 3 dogs. It has a great secure feeling on the road, is "easy" to drive and has great pick-up, which Im really missing in my new vechicle! Ive always thought it is a super-sharp truck, performs great in snow and ice/off-road. Gas mileage was quite respectable for its class.

  We have enjoyed our Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. We bought it about 6 years ago with 98,000 miles and now have 170,000 miles with no major issue. It is starting to leak some oil, but hey its almost 14 years old.

  We bought our Jeep w/88,000 miles on it. After owning several foreign 4x4s I was astonished at how well it was holding up and it has been a great vehicle till it hit that 130,000 mile mark and, just like all domestic vehicles it began to literally fall apart. $$$$$$! So much for comparing it to my toyotas that went nearly 300,000 miles w/no problems.

  I bought my Cherokee Sport only in 2009. It has been very reliable, and is a daily driver. I enjoy the V6, and get an est 18-21 mil pr gall. This jeep has been well maintained which is a huge plus. The stereo is upgraded to a pioneer cd player (nice), and off road tire package makes it look very sporty! Besides that everything is factory. I have driven it for a few weeks now and it has done well. Hasnt used any oil, and has 129,000 miles! I use it to deliver pizzas 4 days a week, and its great on gas for an SUV. I plan on keeping it for a long time.

  I bought this ZJ at 106,000 miles. It had a hole in the radiator, the brakes and rotors were shot, and the engine compartment was completely orange from radiator no-leak crap. It made it all the way from Detroit to Toledo strictly on US24 on an 8th of a tank. Ive even driven into a tree while doing some intense offroading and its still going strong. Just keep up on the maintanence and your GC will last forever!

  Despite Consumer Reports calling this AN unreliable car, this is the BEST vehicle I have ever owned, incl. Porsche, BMW,Mercedes. The only problems I had were a waterpump that blew after a dealer "powerflushed" the system (their fault), and a noisy differential AFTER the dealer replaced a $5 seal and screwed up the repair. Otherwise, this has been as reliable as a stone. W/ 127,000 miles, Ive had NO other problems throughout the vehicle. Also, AVERAGES 20.4 MPG w/combined city an freeway driving!!!!! Original tires went 95,000 miles and Ive never had an alignment!
