This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, Toyota has discontinued the sporty Corolla XRS trim level. For the LE trim, leather seating is no longer available.

Pros:
  • Roomy interior, fuel-efficient engine, illustrious reliability record.
Cons:
  • Awkward driver-seat position, bland on-road personality, lack of model variation and upscale convenience features, gets pricey even when equipped with just the basics.

  • Great Little Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Almost 50000 miles and no complaints here. Nothing but regular maintenance so far. We previously had a Kia Optima and it saw several trips to the shop at this point in its life cycle. Just a good reliable economical no frills car. Highly recommended.

  • A great vehicle, fun to drive, super MPG - 2007 Toyota Corolla

No complaints about this car, a real value. I read some of the reviews about sluggish performance...not so! Lots of zip. Great MPG. Front drivers seat position a tad tight at times, but comfortable.

  • 07 Toyota Corrola LE - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Just have had my 07 Corolla LE for not quite 1 year now and the computer is going out in it. The Toyota dealer said that this is common in the Corollas and they have them on order. Bought the car as a certified used in 08. I still love my car and Toyota will replace it. Happy with their service very much so.

  • Ordinary with Hiccups - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I purchased my 07 Corolla brand new. It now has over 60k miles. My car is immaculately maintained. Sorta fun to drive. Comfortable seats. Great reaction time when driving. Only hiccups Ive had: The keyless entry for some reason stopped working about four months ago. Dealership says I need to get it reinstalled and they dont cover it. Yet my friend with an 03 Corolla has never had her keyless entry maintenanced and it works flawlessly. Odd. Oh also sometimes the windows dont work. The driver side door lock button will not unlock the doors, yet it will lock them. Electrical issues are popping up everywhere seems like. Good car overall, minus hiccups. Hope this helps!

  • Toyotas for me! - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Still own a 1996 Tacoma 4x4 with 308,000 miles and is an excellent truck. Needed better mpg, and since Corolla has been in the Toyota lineup for 40 yrs, I decided that would work for me. I havent been disappointed at all. Low maintenance (doesnt even require auto tranny fluid changes!). No mechanical problems in 40,000 so far.

  • Good price- Good return - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Thought I would buy a Honda Civic but dealers were not anxious to negotiate price- Toyota dealers were able and willing to hammer out the best price and I suggest working 3 dealers against each other. First full tank of gas produced 32MPG which is great- Speaker system (6 speakers) is incredible. Great price- Great value

  • 104K mi and still a beast - 2007 Toyota Corolla

This car is simply the best. It is a zero frills, going to get you to your destination every time vehicle. I have put 104K on it myself, purchased new in 2007. I have done regular-ish service, going about 7500 between oil changes. I used to drive aggressively, but after calming down I now get 37-42 on the highway. I hit 45mpg once.... I never get under 30mpg, ever. The only downside I can think of is that I will not be in the market for a new car in a long time. I reasonably expect to hit 200K and I no longer have a commute to work. (<1mi). Also, I have no ABS and I now live in the northeast. This hasnt been a problem yet. Ive made it through very heavy snowstorms.

  • Reliable, Economical Econo Box - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Today my 07 Corolla hit the 100K mile mark. To date, the overall MPG is 34.08. At 74K miles the engine component module went out but was covered by Toyota. At 81K miles, the intake manifold gasket was replaced for $135. These are the only problems I’ve had with the car. The OE G/Y Integrity tires were worn and replaced at 48K miles. I replaced them with G/Y Assurance ComfortTred which gives the car a quieter and more stable ride. There is still plenty of tread after 52K miles. The brakes are original. Seating position is good except very little lumbar support. I use a little pillow. I’m 6’2” and am comfortable driving 500 mile days. It’s a very good econo box.
