Perfect for a college student! - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By joejoezz - January 19 - 3:36 amWe bought a a Corolla with 120,000 miles on it and now have it up to 136,000. So far, we have only done routine maintenance, although I recommend watching the brakes closely. It burns a little oil but nothing major. Combined gas mileage is around 28 in the winter and 35 in the summer. The cars size is its best feature for living in the city: it drives well for such a tiny car and it is easy to parallel park into tiny spots. You just have to watch out because sometimes big SUVs dont see it.

I love it so far - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By junkdepot - December 7 - 10:00 amI bought this car as a commuter and was glad when the only one left on the lot was the S model. This is my first Toyota and I will definitely buy another one in the future. I highly recommend the S model for the sportier feel and added amenities. This is a daily driver that I put 100 miles per day on.

My first new car - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By amyseit - November 1 - 5:43 amSince this is my first new car, I spend a lot of time checking out different types of cars for the best value. I was torn between the Corolla LE and the Hyundai Elantra. Both cars had the features I was looking for but the Corolla drove much smoother. The Corolla did not have the cheap looking interior like the Elantra and it has better gas mileage per gallon too. I love my Corolla and would suggest it to anyone looking for a new car.

Most expensive car I have ever bought - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By drayton_cross - October 25 - 2:13 pmI purchased this vehicle one year used with 30,000 miles on it. At first, I enjoyed the vehicle but after the brakes went out, the transmission went out at 70,000 miles, and the interior began to peel away, I decided that the vehicle did not meet my expectations. Despite following all suggested maintenance, the vehicle continued to have serious mechanical failures. The day that the brakes went out frightened me pretty badly. Based on my experience, I dont plan on owning another Corolla.

Some parts should be recalled - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By James - April 16 - 2:00 amThe door handle was broken in two years. I put two brand new catalytic converters on it the engine light comes back on again. It can not pass the annual inspection even though it still runs good with 125,000 miles on it. Its a pain to go through the inspection every year. It should last a life time.

Affordable, Reliable, Economical... - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By Dinorah - April 13 - 11:16 amWhen we first purchased the car, it was for my son to use to get to and from school. Rising insurance and gas prices have pushed me to utilize the vehicle more often. Ive seen that in the past few months I have been using our Corolla more than my son! The car is a perfect, not overdone or underdone, combination of performance, value, and comfort. It just works! Id recommend this car for anyone.

just the best - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By leofreshness - March 14 - 1:26 pmthis is the best car ever. i got it at 80000 miles and now has over 100000 miles and no problems. am the 2nd owner. when i got it i had to learn to drive manual. so you now what a clutch goes through when someone uses it for the first time. and till this day it been the same clutch since it was made and its still good and soothe. great on gas i got around 36 city and 45 highway normal driving. no engine problems just great. if you want a car that gets great gas mileage, will drive past 300000 miles cheap and just pure reliable get this corolla but only a manual one. the autos are great but i believe they wont last as long . and the manual will get better mpg.
