Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Excellent commuter - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By FredJ - August 27 - 2:00 amThe Corolla has generally been a strong car. Its smooth, refined and suprisingly quick. The fuel economy is outstanding, over 37 mpg on the highway with an automatic. The interior is comfortable, although rear legroom is an issue. The feature list is . . . odd. This is probably due to the practice of adding packages, but my wife often chides me for having a car with power doors and windows, cruise, a/c, alarm and keyless entry, but no tachometer or power mirrors. The cruise control stalk occasionally brushes my knee during low speed turns, but this isnt dangerous. Taller drivers may encounter this problem.

By butler83 - August 21 - 2:29 amIve owned this car several months after purchasing it from a family member who loved it. Its started all winter and handled well in the snow. The gas mileage is very good and it is an easy car to drive and enjoy. You cant go wrong with this car if you are looking for basic transportation.

just great/fun so far, witt - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By witt - August 17 - 10:00 amits just great so far. has been over a mountain passes in colo. 14 times,so know it will do what is required,it has enough power though it needs second many times at those altitudes,as it is an automatic trans. style is smooth and clean seating is just fine for two and gas mileage is superb. service is spotty at best,so far. it has been in for service three times (5days)for a hole in seat and warped plastic side airbag piller covers. perhaps 05 parts are behind schedule, suggest waiting for warrenty work.

I have no reason to complain - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By mopart600 - August 14 - 6:21 amI bought my 08 in November of 2007 brand new. Since then I have put 215000 miles on it. I have had it serviced at the dealership and kept up with all of the prescribed maintenance. Other than brakes, which are obviously a system designed to wear out, I have only had to replace one wheel bearing at 190000 miles. Other than that its just gas and oil. This car has been fantastic to me and since it is still in such good shape Im going to drive it until the wheels fall of...which may be a while at this rate.
