Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Drove this car last year 1600 miles per week for about 4 months. We were moving and this car saved us hundreds of dollars in fuel. Did very little maintenance during that time period ( I was living in it ) We still travel a good bit. Car now has 110,000 miles all we have done is oil changes, plugs, wires, belt. Now needs struts. Usual wear and tear items. Hard to let go just need a bigger more comfortable travel vehicle.

  • Have I bought a lemon? - 2009 Toyota Corolla

We purchased a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE May 31, 2008. At about 2000 miles the VSC Light came on flashing. Took it back to dealer and they could not find anything wrong. The light came back on and it started to spit and sputter and die for no reason around 3000 miles. Took it back to dealer and they replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor and cleared the codes again. Was driving it again and slowed down to turn a corner and it died for no reason. It currently has 4500 miles on it and the dealer has had it for a week. They called and said they are ordering a new wiring harness which is supposed to fix the problem. Im now wondering what will be next.

  • So far so good - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I bought my certified 2010 Corolla about 2 months ago with 36000 miles on it.This was defiantly not my first choice when searching for a new car but it was in my price range and I thought it was cute so I went ahead. I drive 80 miles round trip to work every day and so far its been great. However I do have a few complaints. The seats are not comfortable at all! They also collect lint like another review said. The interior is really boring in my opinion and it is really hard to see the clock. Overall it is cute and fun but I wish I had waited and found something better

  • Love it!!! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

Much better than my 92 Jeep Cherokee. Only got about 12mpg city. The Corolla S gets awesome gas mileage, theres lots of leg room, and great styling both in and out. I was worried about the black interior at first thinking it would be hotter but I havent noticed a difference. I always get compliments on it. I absolutely love it!!!

  • Youve Come A Long Way Baby - 2003 Toyota Corolla

This car is so much fun to drive and it handles great. The seats are so comfortable and it really looks good. I am amazed at the power I get for a 4 cylinder. The only negative thing I can say it because it is a small car the ride isnt as smooth. I am really glad I purchased this car.

  • Disappointment - 2003 Toyota Corolla

Having bought Toyota in the past and knowing of corolla reliability and fuel economy we purchased ours used from a dealer with 60000kms on it. I drive all highway. It has cost us a transmission rebuild (its a manual) for differential bearings and now tranny wont shift into fourth all the time. Wheel bearings go quickly and car is so loud from wheel/bearing noise you have to yell to be heard. Im done with Toyota.

  • Does what it supposed to do - 2002 Toyota Corolla

The Corolla is essentially a commuters car for one or two passengers. Commuters want reliability, economy and a comfortable ride. The Corolla delivers in spades. Looks and rear seat knee room are not as important to us commuters. The only weakness is roominess for drivers who are taller that 510". Otherwise, you cant go wrong with a Corolla. The ride and handling dramatically improved when I installed Yokohama TRZ tires.

I love my new Corolla. I tested the Civic, Corolla, Focus, and the Elantra. The Corolla won in a land slide. I am so happy I picked this car. I luv this car!
