Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

We love our new Corolla! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By sugakimsuga - October 27 - 10:00 amWe love our new Corolla S, but its a little slow on the pick up. We were told that it could be the fact that we just moved from Florida to Colorado and the computer needs to adjust. And when we first bought the car we didnt know to keep it under a certain mph for the first hundred miles. I know its only a 4 cyl, but we have old cars beating us uphill! Itt gotten a little better, but were only gonna give it another few weeks before we bring it into the shop. Does anyone else have this problem?

Its a Toyota - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By don - October 24 - 11:23 amWe bought this car for our daughter to learn on and for us to use later at a retirement home in Arizona. Wanted something dependable, safe and easy. Good price but not especially sporty. Our daughter thought it was "cute" and loves it. We love the gas mileage at 38 hwy on first tank.

Greatest comfortable economy car - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By hjolly - October 21 - 9:24 pmAs mentioned by someone else, this car generally get so-so reviews because it doesnt comply with auto-journalist enthusiasts vision of a great car : no turbo, no DI, no IRS, no 4 disc brakes... They miss the point. This "old technology" package accomplish equivalent or more than some of the fancier competition : comfortable and composed ride and decent power with a hard to beat fuel economy (Im at 38 mpg average (50/50) over 10,000 miles, despite the break-in period and harsh winter. Lots of plastic Inside but well put together with a somewhat elegant design. Real DEL headlights (not decorative) are great. Steering wheel /voice, Bluetooth, USB, back-up camera. Any equivalent for 20K $ ?

Loved my Toyolla - 1994 Toyota Corolla
By s - October 19 - 10:53 amBought it with 40k, now at 160k with only standard repairs needed- alternator, radiator. Alternator kept needed to be replaced after the first one, but that is apparently not that unusual for rebuilt ones. One of the rear door handles didnt work from the outside, had it fixed once but happened again. Overall: super reliable, not super fast but still fun to drive (5 speed manual), great mileage.

This car is STILL an asset - 1994 Toyota Corolla
By upoys - October 17 - 4:10 amBack in March 02 I wrote a review for my car, stating how it was an asset. Well, over 7 years later, and @ 203k mi, this car is STILL an asset. My last car payment was 1998. This has been the BEST car Ive ever owned! I still get approx. 33 mpg (mostly highway). Rust is starting to form on the bottom of the doors and hood. A/C no longer works. Small inconveniences given that I havent made a car payment in over 11 years! Thanks Toyota for making the most reliable vehicle ever!

08 Corolla S auto with Jbl sound VSA - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By superjohn - October 16 - 1:23 amI now have 21000 miles & love the car. I avg 31mpg on my short trips lots of 3mile rides to work. When I am on the freeway I get 38 to 41 mpg depends on how much of a hurry I am in. Love the 5k oil change interval. The trak control or VSA is a must have. JBL sound upgrade is not that special. Its the best car for the money for sure.

Even the 25 y/os like it.... - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Bryan Knight - October 14 - 4:00 pmI purchased the Corolla in February and put on about 3400 miles so far (currently July). The car is reliable, stylish, and gets great gas mileage (averaging 30 mpg in mostly city driving, 40 mpg on long trips). I highly recommend getting the vehicle stability control, it has saved my life already once.

Love my Corolla - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By rjr - October 14 - 6:53 amGreat car. Roomier than I expected. Agile, peppy. NEVER a problem, very reliable. Always runs like a top. And best of all, it uses only 6.1 L/100Km city and 5.1 highway. I save so much money on gas that it pays for the car. On one trip I used only 27.9 L to go 697 Km, 4.0 L/100Km, 58 miles/USA gallon.
