Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

great buy - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By pta - November 15 - 10:00 amI am a Toyota fan and have been for about 16 years. My third car is the 2005 Corolla. I was more than pleasantly surprised when I test drove it. Its handling, power and 38 mpg are more than adequate. I commute about 100 miles a day. With this purchase, I cant wait to hit the road.

great car!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By s obrien - November 15 - 10:00 amI just purchased my first new car a 2005 Corolla S. So far I love just about everything about it. I love the color (Indigo Ink Pearl), I think this color stands out among all the other colors offered in the Corolla. The ride is very smooth and very responsive. Fuel economy is great. The interior is very sharp, clean, and comfortable. There is also a good amount of room in the backseat and trunk for a sub-compact car. Toyota definetly exceeded my expectations, I highly recommend the Corolla S.

ALL AROUND BEST IN ITS CLASS - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By DAMIAN - November 14 - 8:00 pmAfter 48,000 miles / 2yrs of harsh commuting through blazing hot summers and freezing cold winters my car still drives, feels, and looks new. Equipped with a 4-cylinder which only packs 130- hp my car has plenty of power, even when fully loaded (5-PASSENGERS + CARGO) to keep up with all types of California commuting (80mph freeways, steep mountain climbs, stop and go city driving, beach/ocean cruising and long stretch highways). This compact sedan is spacious and has plenty of head, leg, and arm room both front and back as well as a large trunk. Also comfortable while traveling long distances. IÂ’ve found this car to be safe, reliable, fun to drive, and economical. You Cant beat a TOYOTA!!!

Incredibly Reliable, Cheap to Own - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By ayersdj - November 14 - 1:30 amBought this from the second owner 6 years ago. 5 speed stick with A/C. Now have 143,000 miles on it. Has never broken down on us. Other than a suspension job at 141,000 and a new a/c compressor at 143,000, never anything but standard maintenance. Northern car, bad winters but no rust. Last week, got 45 mpg on a 300 mile drive, with the a/c on. Not a fast or fancy car, dies on steep hills, not much pep for passing. But a great car if you want something reliable that is cheap to drive and wont leave you waiting for a tow. Id buy it again in a heartbeat.

Wow . . . Corolla! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By momofsbknbj - November 5 - 5:53 amWe bought our 2005 Corolla in 2007. It was a repo with 13,000 miles on it. It is 2012 now and the car has 160,000 miles on it. The car, knock on wood, has had no problems that I can recall except needing usual oil changes, tires and brakes replaced. We also had the serpentine belt replaced when it needed it at about 100,000 miles. The car gets excellent gas mileage, between 30-35 mpg average. We had a problem with the air conditioner about a year ago and then found out that these cars have a cabin air filter behind the glove box. Cleaned dust and leaves out of filter and air works fine again. Does not burn oil. Just a great car. We love our Corolla and have purchased 2 more since.

Great Looking and Reliable!!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Test Drive - October 27 - 10:00 amI recently purchased this car for my daughter as an early graduation present! I needed to depend on reliability, handling and gas efficiency. Of course, I even liked the sporty style. I did compare it to the CE and LE models and for me the S model out weighed as the car for her. It steers and handles well on the road. Also, its looks great driving down the highway. She is very HAPPY!!! And so am I! : )
