Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Corolla Review - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Frank - November 30 - 10:56 pmI have 1000 miles on this 09 Corolla. The fuel mileage so far has been 33 mpg. The car feels very tight with no rattles or squeaks and it rides pretty good on the highway. The car is very quiet with little wind and road noise and the engine is quiet which gives this car a high quality feel. The brakes feel good and the trunk seems roomy. The paint is very nice and looks quality. The steering feels too touchy and it takes constant correction to hold a straight line at highway speeds. If I would have known about this steering flaw I might not have bought this model. Take a long test drive and decide for yourself before you buy.

Dont ingore the car cause its a corolla - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Mike Roman - November 27 - 7:56 pmI was looking at getting a second hand luxury car but wasnt thrilled about the insurance costs, mileage to the gallon, and the lack of warranties. The older Corollas are not for me. Im 25 years old, had to make a smart purchase but still an eye candy, fun to drive car. The XRS 2009 is amazing in every aspect, and there arent that many out there, so yours will stand out more. Bottom line a Corolla hater (2008 and earlier) is now a Corolla lover. Test drove a dozen new cars, XRS wins by landslide!!

06 Toyota Corolla 5M - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Corolla S - November 27 - 12:50 amI have had this car a little over two years and average 38 MPG, I am very easy on it however. I drove an automatic and they are pathetic, however, the manual can move descent. It is not "fun" to drive, however, it does its job-reliable, good mpg. I am now debating to keep this a long time, or trade it in for something like a Lancer soon.

A rocking car - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By sammydavidjr - November 26 - 2:00 amThe Toyota Corolla is a masterpiece. I love it, my friends n family love it. Even my students love it. They say it looks like a Lexus, other say it looks like a racing car. I think I made a wise choice buying this car. I even love the color ( grey ) Even though looks like silver...hehehehe

Fun and Great gas mileage - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Eric Howell - November 25 - 10:36 pmI bought this car just for the fuel mileage we have several cars and trucks but none good on fuel. I have been pleased with the mileage so far with only 1300 miles on it I have gotten low 30s to 39.2 mpg. This car will move considering its small engine, it will bury the speedo with no problem. I have no problems with rattles or road noise at all very quite and comfortable. It does blow around a bit in higher winds but its a very light car. I was worried about the warm starting problems that I read about on boards with the 05 models, so far no problem at all on this or anything else. I am a big guy and have two kids we all have enough room. Would I do it again? YES!

Excellent reliability - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By ITSME - November 20 - 1:53 amI am the original owner of this car, I used to drive 1000 miles + per month in this car for about 2 years. I have not had one thing need maintenance, it is even on the original AC coolant. The only problems have been from other people dinging my car. Everything in the car still works great, just needs a tune up to improve power. With regular oil services and tire rotations, I have never had this car in any shop at all. Great purchase for reliability.

Big guy little car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Rick - November 19 - 2:26 amIm 63, 50 and fit into a 40 mpg car! This is an amazing little car. Great ride good power a little touchy on the steering. The overall feel is solid. I drive 13 hours at a stretch for days at a time that puts a lot of demands for comfort on a vehicle, the 09 Corolla passes with flying colors. And it passes the gas stations as well. I found the Corolla to be quieter than the Civic and Sentra with a better solid feel. After much research I also found that the factory check ups listed in your owners manual were much less with the Corolla than the Civic. What can I say, I LOVE this little car!!

A great car - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By John Klein - November 17 - 10:53 amThis is an impressive car in all respects. Exterior design is very attractive with the S package but I prefer it without the spoiler. Build quality is outstanding. Love the ride and handling and fuel mileage seems to meet spec--Ive had my car for a week. Its quieter on the road than I thought it would be. Seats are comfortable but I have to agree with some other reviewers that the driver cushion is a little short ( and I have short legs).I also agree with others who complain about needing a telescoping wheel. Horsepower is adequate. Amazing trunk size for a compact. I recently drove a Caliber and it cannot match the Corolla in any category. Im glad I bought my Corolla.

Good over all car - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By Michael - November 16 - 10:20 pmI bought this car with 176000 miles on it and the previous owner was an old lady and drove it with the axle almost broken so it messed up the transmission so I had it replaced. Other than that, the car runs and handles well and now it has 190,000 miles on it and the engine still does not burn oil and no leaks. Of course I have to do the regular maintenance. Its a really great car for starters and specially now the gas price is going up again.
