Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Nice Little Car - 2006 Toyota Corolla

It is my first Toyota car. I really like it the ride is good the economy is great. The only thing I do not like is the position of the driver seat in relation to the steering wheel with the seat back it is uncomfortable to reach the wheel. It definitely needs a telescoping steering wheel. ABS and four wheel disc brakes should be standard. Beyond that great car.

This is my first Toyota(2003 Corolla S) and the main reason I purchased it was due to Toyotas reliability. My last car was a 1994 Nissan Altima and after only 170000km I had two blown trannys. Heres hoping Toyota

  • Will never buy a Toyota again - 2009 Toyota Corolla

I have owned several Toyotas in the past and have never had as many problems as I did with this so called "well built and reliable car". I had problems with this car from day one. Electric power steering was replaced. Belt Tensioner problems, strange noise from Transmission. So many squeaks and rattles in the car, you would think it was built with Legos. I was just waiting for this car to fall apart and leave me sitting on the pavement. I can see why the NUMMI plant is closing. What happened to Toyota quality. I am glad I dumped this car for a 2010 Nissan Sentra 2.0S.

The gas mileage is excellent!! My husband and I also have a 2002 Ram 8cyl truck so we mostly use the corolla for driving. Ive been approached twice in parking lots by people admiring my beautiful car and I have nothing but great things to say! I love my car!

  • I love my Corolla! - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I purchased my 2010 Corolla after having a 1992 for many years. The 2010 is roomy, sexy, and in a manual transmission, super fun to drive. Toyota has really stepped-up its game with the redesign. I adore my car! I honestly feel like Im driving a little sports car when Im in my black Corolla. Also, great stock stereo! Im blown away and turn many heads on the road. YES, it really is a Corolla!

  • Great Economy Car - 1994 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought a used car with 60K miles and used it for about 75K miles before giving it to my nephew. This is a great starter car or college student car. Extremely reliable and great gas milage. The car is quite peppy for a 1.8 Liter engine. I would totally recommend it for anyone looking for an economy car.

  • Drivers seat should be a POWER SEAT - 2014 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I read Consumer Reports for the value and reliability ratings before I purchased this car. I wish that the LE model had a more comfortable drivers seat. My next car will have a drivers seat with more cushion and adjustments available!

  • Weak horsepower - 2013 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car for my daughters 16th birthday so that she could take it to college when she is 18 and it is perfect for her. No problems at all. With that being said, my 2005 Sienna was in the shop recently and I had to put my family of 5 in it to go around town in. That put approximately 700 lbs of weight in the car. This car was very sluggish with this much weight in it. It had absolutely no get up and go to it. It is not a family car. My husband who is 510" had a really hard time fitting in the car and was very uncomfortable in it. This car is only good for one or two people and that is it.

  • Love this Car!!!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

My First Toyota, a 2004 Corolla CE. I LOVE it. Very Nice Driving Experience. Very Responsive and Quick Engine and Acceleration. Quiet and Smooth Ride. Steering and Handling Effortless. CD and Radio Excellent Sounding. A Quality Built car. I am Always finding Excuses to take a Ride Now. A Little more leg room for the driver who has longer legs than mine would be a nice upgrade. I will always look at Toyotas first in the future. I also had a very Nice experience when purchasing this Corolla. The sales woman was patient and very knowledgeable.
