Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

6500 mile 7 month old corolla made me stranded on the HWY - 2012 Toyota Corolla
By texaslover - December 28 - 10:02 pmI cant believe this. I have been royal toyota customer, I always trusted toyotas reliability until now. I have 1999 toyota sienna and I had 94 corolla and those cars have been wonderful even though they are old and high mileage on them. So I purchased another corolla. Yesterday, I went to another city (about 80 miles away from my home town) and this 7 month old 6500 miles corolla just quit on the express way. Check engine and trac off light on and no response from gas pedal. I was almost killed by other car. I had to tow 80 miles. And this morning toyota care towing car came and made big mess on my interior with lots of dirty oil mark all over the door. Big disappointment!

Reliable corolla - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By bcalvin - December 28 - 10:00 amI bought the 2003 corolla S when it first came out. I have had 0 trouble with the car and love it. Gets great gas milage and you can even get a supercharger for the 03-04 model. I have drove it from california to new mexico back and forth 2 times and ran into 0 issues. The only minor problem i had was orange peal on the side of the body and the alloy wheels would started to rust.

Toyota dealers needs work - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Colin Drew - December 24 - 2:00 amThe dealer is the cars biggest downfall. So far they have told me that the CE model is not avaible with ABS, cass/cd player, side airbags, and cruse control, even though it is listed as options. Toyota will not make the CE with the advertised options. You have to move up to the LE or S model to get these options. The only problem that has occured is a recall on the Power train axle assembly, and the head lights turn on at night after car has been parked for several hours. Toyota said it is a broken light senser on daylight running lights. I am waiting on a trunk mat that was listed on sticker but not with the car.

#6th Corolla and counting... - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Christelle - December 22 - 10:00 amAWESOME CAR!! Ive been driving Corollas for 25 years for good reason- reliability & economy. This car is a kick to drive - responsive, quick & stylish. Finally an empty nester, I looked into my dream-a high end sports car; however reality ($$$ fuel prices/low gas mileage) brought me back to my senses. Enter the new XRS. WOW. Six (count em) speeds!!! Safety minded (airbags galore and ABS breaks) yet able to cut loose in a flash. Sits up way high on 16" Michelins (vs the 14" Ive driven for years). I almost feel like Im in a SUV! I still have my 99 with 120K miles (changed the oil every 5k miles, runs like a charm) and will keep that as a winter rat.

THE CAR TO BUY!!! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By BIG BARGAIN BOB - December 14 - 5:00 amStarting in 1975 when we bought our first Corolla and up to now we have owned 4 of them. This is the best ever plenty of power, unless your a race car driver at Daytona. We have had the car 1 week along with our 2000 Toyota Echo, so I cant speak about mileage yet! But I can say the car is great in every respect, Good body fit, quiet ride, interior design could not be better. Of course the bottom line is Corolla quality, its gas miser appetite, and consistent high resale value!!

Big Step Forward & Worth The Wait - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By billbo4 - December 12 - 10:04 amAs a long time Toyota fan, I was delighted that the Corolla was seriously upgraded for 2014. I have always been impressed with the Corollas build quality and reliability but it was in danger of being left behind in the compact car segment due to a lack of style and current technology. After trading in my 2010 S model for a new LE Plus, I could not be happier. The styling, ride, technology and interior room are greatly improved. Granted this is no sports car, but this has the quietest ride in the compact class and is as smooth as glass on the interstate at 80 mph. The CVT shifts smoothly and fuel economy is noticeably better. All of this at a better price than either Honda Civic or Mazda 3.
