Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Most reliable car Ive ever had! - 1999 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Theres nothing fun or flashy about this car... but it holds up so well you dont care about that. I had the original brakes replaced at 115,000 miles and there was still plenty left on them. This car has been through hot and cold weather and never a problem. If you want reliability, get this car.

  • Wish I had my Camry back - 2009 Toyota Corolla
    By -

My 07 Camry LE was wrecked and not the same after being repaired, so bought this Corolla. MPG is excellent, but the interior is cheap, with hard plastic everywhere. Center console has uncomfortable hard plastic to rest your elbow on. The car handles well in the snow with the traction control. Outside/wind noise is quite apparent at times. In spite of these complaints, its a very good little car and Id buy another one if I had to, but wish I had my Camry back. The Camry was luxurious compared to this Corolla. This car sits low, making it hard for me to get out of, even with the seat elevated as high as it will go. This car will run 70+ mph on the interstates without batting an eyelash.

  • Great Buy - 1998 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I am not one that takes very good care of their vehicle and performs the minimum maintenance. I have treated my Corolla poorly and it has always performed great and has been as dependable as can be. I have had not one single problem with my Corolla and I have wrecked it and ran over parking blocks by accident and do not rotate my tires or anything. I take it in for an oil change about every 6000-7000 miles and other than brakes and tires I have spent no more money on it.

  • Unsatisfied Customer - 2002 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Over all this vehicles mech. are very good. It seems to be a quiet car. I am dissatisfied with the interior. I have had all 4 door panels replaced. Due to them being warped. I did not expect this from Toyota. I tried to get the vehicle replaced and was turned down. The blinkers were also broke when I bought the car brand new. I feel that Toyota does not stand behind its work. I am willing to try another one but I will be very careful when choosing my car. This car is not that comfortable if you have to ride in it for a long time. Great for around town.

  • Firestone Tire Recall is Toyotas Fault - 2003 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I was angered to learn today that Toyota installed defective Firestone tires on my new 2003 Corolla LE. I have already filed a complaint with the NHTSA because I must buy replacement tires at my own expense since Toyota insists that I must accept only Firestone replacement tires. This is a load of horse manure. The line supervisors and managers in the Wilson, North Carolina, Firestone manufacturing plant responsible for the Ford/Toyota tire fiascos should be put in jail and never allowed to manufacture tires again. Didnt Toyota learn anything from the Firestone/Ford fiasco? Life is cheap.

  • Toyota Simply the best - 2010 Toyota Corolla

    I purchased the S Corolla and could not be happier with the car. Do not believe the negative crap you are reading. The people are no doubt competitors of Toyota who want you to think the worst and buy there cars.The S has upgraded interior, instrument panel, rear deck spoiler.alloy wheels, ground effects and fog lights all for only $800 more than the LE. Everything is perfect. Steering is perfect. 650+ FICA gives you 0% financing. AAA members get big discount plus $500 back from Toyota. We bought a new Camry two years ago and it is still perfect. Make no mistake, Toyota sets the standard and everyone else is trying to take them down. I will never drive anything else;

  • becareful of the ac system - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought a 2016 Correll 5 months ago and have had nothing but issues with the a/c system. There is a mold smell coming out of the vents. I have taken it to my local dealer 3 times in less rhan a month and they are trying to tell me to just deal with it and they cant get the smell out. This is a known issue with the Corollas per the shop manager at toyota. Just another note. There a certain instructions on how to shut the a/c systems off (make sure you follow it). Even though i have and it did not resolve my issue. I cant wait for the summer for it to get worse. I doubt i will ever buta toyota again. Expecially a corrola.

  • Love the Corolla - 2011 Toyota Corolla
    By -

A wonderful little reliable car. I was concerned about the horsepower in a 4 cylinder (I live where there are lots of hills) and it has lots of pep! We also have 2 kids and carpool at times and it doesnt feel too small. Used to own a 1999 and had to sell it and missed it ever since. Glad to be back in a Corolla! Am planning on it lasting forever. :)

  • Corolla performs, efficiently - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

After nearly a year with my Corolla, Im still discovering its amazing fusion of efficiency with performance. Notice I did not use the word "compromise" between performance and efficiency, but fusion. The Toyota engineers have managed to create a car sips gasoline but can kick butt when I ask it to. I love this car. The standard issue tires had to go, and I could ask for more in driver seating comfort, but overall I am delighted with a car that gives the mileage the stodgy environmentalist in me demands, with the fun and sheer power the teenager in me loves. I shut them down on the streets of California. And I can still look myself in the mirror, knowing my car is wasting. Thanks, Toy
