Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Love this car - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By kathy Shaver - June 3 - 9:00 amI have had this Corolla for two years now. It was going to be a temporary car until I found something fancier. Well, Im still driving it and loving it. I have had expensive cars for 38 years, Mercedes, BMW Jags, and they have all been expensive to maintain. This is the most basic one I have ever owned but its one of the most reliable and least expensive one to run especially with the new gas prices. It has enough get up and go for heavy traffic and I never feel like I will be stranded like I did when I was driving a Jag. There is nothing I dont like about this car.

Holds it value, cant say anything else positive - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By noneya - May 30 - 12:04 pmIm 6 foot tall and almost didnt buy because of its size, would have been a good decision. My knees are right on the steering wheel, nobody could sit behind me and the seat puts me at an akward posture. Its overly standardized; changed a back light and had no way to turn on or off the lights to check it until the car lets me at night. Why cant the human control the lights? Really dumb feature on a regular basis. Windshield wipers have 3 or 4 settings, thats it, no adjustable levels. Accelerates so slowly I might as well be on a 50cc scooter. Electronics suck; only shows track number on display, I dj so it helps if I can see the song titles to remember the song. The auxiliary is broken on my car so thats probably just my qualm but be careful, its delicate. Bought it at about 105000 miles, 09 in 15... owned it 5 months and Ive put 500 in repairs and will be taking it to the shop again this week. Not a mechanic but the front wheels suck. Friend of mine with virtually identical car had to replace whole transmission at just over 100000 miles. Gets great gas mileage but I would have paid for better quality as I thought this car would be more reliable ie less repairs, maintenance expected. Worst car Ive ever owned. Good thing it holds its value, anybody in the market for an oversized go cart?

Awesome Car!!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Holly426 - May 28 - 10:00 amIve had my Corolla S type for a month now and I love it. I get tons of compliments on how my car looks and it zips around like it owns the road. I had a 1997 Corolla and traded it in, this style has alot more room and features.

Not a Toyota - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By mark Chan - May 28 - 10:00 amHad a 2004 Corolla rental for one day, really hated it! Only two things worth mentioning, extremely quiet and very rommy inside. Other than that, it is pretty much a GM product. Ride motion and body control is the worst I have ever seen. Toyota Echo rides much better! Engine power is weak and the A/C was blowing out cool air instead of cold air!

Total Reliability! - 1995 Toyota Corolla
By phillie phanatic - May 27 - 2:20 pmI have used this car primarily for work commute of 60+ miles one way. It has gone through pouring rainstorms, snow storms, and ice all as easily as on a dry road. I have never been stuck or left stranded by this car. No matter how cold its been outside, it has never failed to start right up. My only repairs were routine; oil & filter changes, tires, belts, etc. This little baby is a 5-speed stick and didnt need a new clutch until 198,000 miles! After 274,000+ miles, it is still getting 36 mpg! It just passed inspection and 1st time emissions test without a single problem! I could not have asked for anything better and this little car is still going strong!!

Nice car (when parked) - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Tony the test driver - May 26 - 10:00 amThis is a nice car in the S trim. Body kit makes amazing job beautifying this fairly dull car. Only grill remains dull. It is so smooth for a small car, you dont feel if it moves. But this is not enthusiasts car. It has no soul. You may accelerate hard but there is no feel of it. Steering is questionable. Interior is great besides some hard plastic in "should be soft" places, cheap controls and questionable location of the clock. Big trunk. Nice seats. Decent legroom in the back and suitable middle spot with flat floor beneath.

Miss my great Corolla - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By hurt and disgusted - May 22 - 5:43 amI loved this car, meant to keep it many more years, until a drunk driver totaled it and left me without it. It was great on fuel economy, mostly highway driving, a great 35 to 37 mpg. It was comfortable and easy to handle, excellent braking. Reliability was excellent, nothing wrong in the 5 yrs I owned it. Now trying to find another comparable is turning into a nightmare, as prices have been hiked up for these great cars, and no 2003 or 04 models out there with low mileage.

Affordable and Sporty - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By S - May 21 - 10:00 amI was looking for something with a good history, with a style that wouldnt go out, and fuel efficient. I also found a great Toyota dealership that made me feel very comfortable in knowing I made the right decision.
