Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

A Big Car in a Small Package!!!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Dougn - August 10 - 2:00 amI Love this car...It has a great ride when on the road. It is quiet in the cabin and has a roomy interior. This is my First Toyota and I am very impressed with this car.I have had Nissans in the past and they were good cars but this car looks and feels so much classier. This car is a must for everyone who wants to save on gas and wants a big car feel in a small package.

Gota Love it! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Sassydion - August 10 - 2:00 amIn 1985 I purchased my very first brand new car, and it was a Corolla... Years later my next new car was a 2004 Toyota Corolla! I love my car and this model and design is FANTASTIC! I have a black one with painted on pin strips and of course "Gold Package". I do alot of turnpike traveling and I feel very confident that I will not break down and if the weather is bad my car will make it to my destination!

Great, Great Little Car! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Toyguy - August 10 - 2:00 amThis is my second new Corolla. My last one was a 95 that went for 160+ thousand miles. This 04 is a fun little car. It feels really big inside, looks sporty outside. Im getting 33 MPG combined city/highway. I added bigger wheels and wider tires and that helped the handling (its tall, so it sways a bit in the corners.) Its fit and finish is like a luxury car -- very impressive. Its a kick on the road and not on the pocketbook.

Excellent - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By alpha_1976 - August 6 - 9:05 amI did a review earlier after driving about 2K. Now it has 100K miles on it and still going strong no issues anywhere. The only maintenance done is the book. I also switched to full synthetic at 90K miles and there are no leaks or anything even after 10K miles. I might have to check my struts later but that is expected at 100K miles anyway. MPG is great.

First Sedan - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Christine - August 4 - 4:50 pmI decided to buy a new reliable car. I test drove the civic and corolla. I loved the look of the new corolla. Ive always owned coupes so buying a sedan was a hard choice for me but, buying a Toyota was an easy decision based on family, friends, and this website. I have owned it for 3 months now and have about 3500 miles on it. I was really worried about the steering everyone complains about but, I dont notice it in my car. I agree the clock should be in a different spot. The seats need more support. My back hurt for the first few days but now Im used to it. The interior plastic scratches really easily. 35MPG & price!

Great car to own - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Rima - August 4 - 10:00 amThe car is very reliable. I bought it new and in the 7 years I owned it, it only broke once (minor repair - starter cable wore off). It gets great mileage, both in the city and on the highway. It is comfortable to drive, and spacious enough for 5 people. Good investment if you ask me.
