Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • 80k and no problems - 2004 Toyota Corolla

Ive put a lot of miles on this car and never had any issues with it. Other than oil changes, it has never needed service of any kind. I will definitely buy another Toyota--either another Corolla or a Lexus. Excellent car.

  • The best car Ive ever owned! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I love this car. I have had it for about a year now, and it has not let me down once. The gas mileage is amazing. I can drive for a whole week, and it will still be above half a tank. The overall ride is so comfortable. You definitely wont feel the road at all in this car. It handles well around turns and even lets you know when to turn on your headlights. I love it, its a 10!

  • Disappointed with Toyota Corolla - 2010 Toyota Corolla

I knew I was buying a very cheap car that would get great gas mileage. However, I guess that it would be marginally better than my low expectations. Gas is Good, but not what was on the sticker. Im at around 28 mpg. Tires show excessive wear at only 10,000 miles. And car will not start sometimes. Had it to the Toyota dealer and they cant find the problem. They will however sell me additional services that are not requested. I should have bought the Elantra!

  • The Best Small Car in the market - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Toyota Corolla 2005 is a fun to drive good looking compact car. Reliable, quiet, smooth, powerful sound system, attractive dashboard, automatic headlights. Excellent buy for recent graduates and others who love compact cars at an affordable price.

  • Nothings perfect but this car is close - 2010 Toyota Corolla

My wife just completed a trip and averaged 46 mpg according to the cars display window. a lot more than we thought we would get. Some people on this review page are very hard to please. This is a very nice car, I only have trouble getting into it. Im not the tallest guy on the block but I have to work on getting into it. Our local dealer is hard to deal with, so went out of town. he is always telling me he pays the same as the other dealers, but I have to remind him he doesnt sell as low as the other dealers. We like the car, fun to drive. We just are hopeful for many miles of out of it.

  • Driving Happy - 2003 Toyota Corolla

First Toyota (and small car) ever purchased, I am very surprised and pleased that an economy compact can have such quality and comfort. Astounding gas mileage, fine handling and ride. Without cruise I too often find myself doing 80. Looking forward to Toyotas reputation of building cars that are long lasting with few repair needs.

  • good car - 2003 Toyota Corolla

The interior and exterior has been improved to a great extent. However the engine is the same as a 2002 corolla. I would have loved it more if had some power in it. Theres practically no difference between a CE and an LE except the power windows. Everything else is anyways optional. I think the car is a bit overpriced.

  • Smooth ride, sufficient power - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I and a friend bought a corolla today. We got a deal of 13600, which is well below Edmunds TMV price for a very basic corolla with a cd player and automatic transmission. Overall, it has sufficient power for highway speed. It took about 6 second to get from 45 to 70 mph, but the engine noise sounds working hard. Wind noise is not bad, but road noise is noticeably annoying. You may have to turn to volume a bit higher to listen to music. Brake works well. A/C runs smooth. There are really not much you can expect for this price, but the main thing is the engine sounds quiet and the car has reputation of reliable.

  • It wasnt as good as my last 2 Corollas - 2004 Toyota Corolla

When I bought my 2003, it was the 3rd Corolla I had owned, and Id always loved them. That changed after the first time I drove it on the highway a month later. When the wind blew, the car was pushed a bit, the car was not entirely stable at 55 mph, and it was especially not stable at speeds in excess of 55 mph. I was actually afraid to drive the Corolla on the highway, especially the day we were having snow squalls and wind, and although I was only going 45 mph on the highway, the car was blown a couple of lanes over and I almost went into a truck. At that point I decided to buy a new car. I was very disappointed.

I love my new Corolla!! I own a 1994 model, with 186,000 miles on it, and it still runs like I just drove it off the lot. There is such a huge loyalty factor when dealing with Toyota cars. I dont know of another manuf. with such reliablity. I definitely expect my 2004 model do treat me as well as my "old" one--which, by the way, my husband and I chose to keep! I love all of the improvements. They definitely made all of the right changes.
