Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Reliable as none - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Javier - September 7 - 12:36 pmThis is my second consecutive Corolla and my third consecutive Toyota in general. Since I discover Toyota, and comparing with previous other car-makers, I will buy Toyotas until the day I die. My previous Corolla ran for 153,000 miles and it never needed a repair. The interior is like you purchased a luxury car. The drive is smooth and it gives you the sensation that every piece is in the right place. I keep buying this car because it gives me security that not matter the distance or the time I will always make it to my destination without a problem. Thats a big peace of mind.

Not a bad car - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Wdroster - September 7 - 2:00 amGot a good deal on the 03 LE,$14,889 w/o tax title and license. I like everything so far except for a couple things. The gas mileage is way off. Im getting around 30 highway, not the 38 it claims. Also, it lets out a sulfur smell (rotten eggs) from time to time. Other than that, its been a good car.

Slightly disappointed - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By jds2805 - September 5 - 2:22 pmPerhaps I got a dud but I was disappointed. I kept up all maintanence. But at 194k miles the transmission went out, shocks went out, gasket blew and alternator died. 194k miles for a Toyota is to soon for transmission and engine problems. Especially since the early 90s models are going 250k+ miles with no problems. It did get great gas mileage and maintanence was cheap. Id still take Toyota over Ford or Dodge any day.

Loud and missing key options - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By dtskiles - September 2 - 10:00 amI rented on for a week from Hertz. I was among the first people to drive the car as it had less than 1000 miles. First complaint is engine noise. Trying to accelerate to keep up with just Tallahassee traffic was enough to drown out the radio. Second complaint is power locks. This model had keyless, wood trim and a CD player. I could not, for the life of me, find automatic locks inside the car. Either theyre so unituitive I couldnt find them, or they dont include power locks with keyless entry. If the car has power windows, then power locks should be standard. All in all - get the Civic.

best and last car I will ever need - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By DavidRosenburg - September 1 - 9:33 pmThis car is by far the best car you can buy for the money, I get 35 miles per gallon on freeway and 29 in town. Its easy to park and you feel like youre in a sports car, I know if you buy one you will thank me later. Oh yes I am retired, I had an auto shop once, I know what to look for in a car and this is the one, TRUST ME I KNOW.

Fun Car to Drive - 2001 Toyota Corolla
By Hal - August 28 - 9:06 pmBought this car used in 2005 and has given me nothing by outstanding service. Put some Hankook tires on it about a year ago and it made all the difference in the ride and handling of the car. Passing is a breeze with the peppy engine.

Good Starter Car - 2001 Toyota Corolla
By NITSEY - August 28 - 10:00 amI have had other toyota products in the past, but they were all older, so i decided to bite the bullet and buy a fairly new used 2001 corolla CE. the car look good from the front, but i find that the rear end is a little plain. the performance is fine, personally i will sacrifice performance for fuel economy any day. GOOD STARTER CAR THAT WILL BE WORTH SOMETHING WHEN I AM FINISHED PAYING FOR IT.

Great fun but also good for small family - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Berta - August 24 - 11:33 pmThis car is sport and very fun to drive. It is also safe and great for a small family. The Corolla is very reliable and pretty roomy. The paint on the vehicle is not the 5 coats that we were told came on the vehicle, we have a few chips on the front of the car, paint seems to be thin. Also, does not get as good gas mileage as we were told it would get. Overall this is a great car for a teenager or anyone with a small family!! What can I say it is a Toyota, that is all this family will ever drive.
