Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Very efficient investment!! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Buckadies - November 6 - 10:53 pmPurchased with 150K miles three years ago and currently pushing 165K trouble-free miles. Other than regular maintenance, this car is a well oiled machine that leads its way to water...good to go!!

super basic transportation - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By tallguy66 - November 4 - 10:00 amI got this car to travel weekly between my home near New Orleans and my new job in Texas, 326 miles each way on the weekends. Am getting 39 miles at 70 mpg on highway, no problems at all. I am very tall and need seat to go back farther, other than that am fully satisfied. My last four vehicles have been Toyotas, super dependable, never in shop.

You Get What You Pay For - 2017 Toyota Corolla
By Jay0893 - November 2 - 12:59 pmFirst time leasing a Toyota. Bottom line: its an economy car. If you travel and have rented cars--it would be the one youd be driving if you the cheapest rate was your no.1 priority. Its...a solid inexpensive car that optimizes features to the extent possible for a car of this price and category. Being brand new--easier to tolerate some of the irritating things that Id expect from cars like this, primarily: extremely noisy above 40-50 MPH. Seats are very basic and stiff--comfort adjustments seem to be a given basic feature in cars today--the corollas would be too--if it was 1980. Decent control panel and ease of Bluetooth. Speakers and sound are terrible--like a cheap speaker bought in a pinch at Walgreens for 5.99. Surprisingly bad. Headlights and safety features are strong. Gas mileage of course is exceptional--you can drive the thing all month in your avg. metro area on one tank of gas. It is a complete sled of a car on acceleration until the engine warms up (in 2017? And with a little car with no weight to it-would have thought a basic feature) Very nice optimization of cargo space --they really do a nice job optimizing. You can fit much more than youd think in this little car. But in the end--its nothing luxurious by way of smooth ride, or comfort beyond normal day to day city driving. Solid. Reasonably priced, bland but decent enough exterior look. Sure the rental companies are all over Corollas, also seems a car youd lease your teenage child as a first car or reliable college car--as buying or leasing brand new is very affordable. My number one irrantant that, had I known at signing, would have been a deal breaker: the noisy ride. Definitely zero in on that in test drive to make sure you can live with it or itll really grate on your nerves.

I love my new Corolla - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By christen125 - November 1 - 10:00 amI almost bought a VW new beetle, but at the last minute decided on the Corolla. The LE has all the same options as the beetle and is thousands less. It took a while for the dealer to find an LE with all the options and color I wanted, but the moonroof and alloy rims are definately worth getting. My friends call it a little Lexus. My LE came with more features than my sisters 2002 camry. Finally, Toyota is making an inexpensive car that is just as classy as the avalon or camry!

Okay, but needs some improvements... - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By vtnc85 - November 1 - 5:53 amI have owned my 2009 Toyota Corolla LE since May 2008. I purchased it right after they became available at my local dealership, and traded my 2004 Corolla, which I loved. I fell in love with the redesigned body style of the 2009 model, but thats where the love ends! The biggest complaint I, and many other owners that I have talked to, have with the 2009 Corolla is the Electric Power Steering. I cannot, for the life of me, keep the car in a straight line when traveling over 50mph. I think that it is a design flaw that should get looked into. Other than that rather annoying and potentially unsafe aspect, the build quality is comparable with the 2004 model. Gas mileage is about 35mpg.

I saw it I bought it, I liked it - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By rrodri2613 - October 29 - 10:00 amI finally donated my 10 year old Camry to charity and decided to buy a more economical car. I was not disappointed, it cost alot less than my last car and rides and looks just AS GOOD. The car is a little plain, so you might have to add a snazzy license frame or a spoiler or sports bra, but I really love it. The only problem is getting my wife to let me drive it.
