Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

An Absolute Winner !!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Larry - December 9 - 3:30 pmI bought this as a follow-up to a 99 Corolla that is still in the family. This one is loaded with a 5-speed and cruise control - I get 33 mpg in the city and 42-44 mpg on the highway with cruise on. This car is extremely fun to drive, very responsive, and for a smaller car is very quiet on the highway. The AC works great in 90-100 temps. Standing 63" I cannot believe the leg room I have in this car, and, I dont even have to have the seat all the way back to drive. The seat is very comfortable as I went from Ohio to Philadelphia without getting the back ache or lower body aches. I highly recommend this Toyota winner !!!!

good for what you pay for - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By P-Dub - December 8 - 2:00 amThe Corolla is not a performance car obviously, but for the money you get a car with great build quility and high reliabilty. Compared to the cars in its price bracket it has the best ride, and quality, and inside the wind noise is none existent unlike many cars in its price range. Performance sucks but what do you expect if this car had more HP this car would be a 10 out of 10.

WONDERFUL! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By em - December 8 - 2:00 amI would have to say the carolla has come a long way! I was soo impressed by the look and feel of this car that I was sold almost immediately. The power of this 4-cylinder especially impressed me. Coming from a V6 on a 1994 car, I was a little worried that a 4-cylinder would drag. Not so, this little car packs a punch. I would recommend the sporty beauty to anyone looking for a reliable car with a glamorous look.

Money well spent - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By love2drive - December 8 - 2:00 amAs a single parent and college student, I just wanted a car that would take me from A to B safely and worry free. I got more than I bargained for. The dash and front panel are made with quality material. This car can really get around. I do 99% city driving in Manhattan and sometimes the Bronx – I put this car to the test against serious automobiles. It handles very well in traffic that demands maneuverability. It could afford better shock absorption, faster pick-up and a quieter engine. But considering the price, the car drives like a dream. Plus, My daughter loves the space in the back.

My Third Corolla - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Richard - December 5 - 7:06 pmThe 2005 Corolla replaced a 10 year old Toyota Tercel with 250,000 miles on it and is my third Corolla since 1978. Ive owned the Corolla for 14 months and have 45,000 miles on it now. No problems-very reliable. The car gets about 36 mpg. Ive driven to both the East Coast, West Coast and Florida from Chicago. The car did great in the mountains and through the California desert. The Corolla looks very stylish in charcoal grey. I love it. Looks like my next car will be a Corolla too, but Im planning on getting a quarter million miles out of this car too.

Cheap, Reliable, and Efficient - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By SK - December 2 - 11:53 amNot having a lot of money and needing a reliable and efficient car, I bought the most basic Corolla. I doubt I could have gotten more value for my money from another new car. The car has 57500 miles now, and the only problem I had was burnt-out check engine indicator (promptly fixed by the dealer under the manufacturers warranty). The car handles very well, has very good angles (I can make a U-turn almost anywhere), and can fit into almost any parking spot. It has a decent acceleration (w/ manual transmission) and is comfortable at freeway speeds (passable even at 85-90 mph if needed). It gives me a great gas mileage -- upto 40mpg on the freeway and 27-33 in the city.

more comfort please - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By more comfort please - December 2 - 2:00 amthe car feels like a tank...thats how solid it is. only problem with this car is the driver comfort (which is a big concern). i am average height (510"), and there needs to be more leg room under the dash. the seat is all the way back, and i still feel like i need about 5 more inches. that creates another problem, because when you push the seat back all the way, you are now too far away from the steering wheel. this car needs a telescoping wheel, but considering how far the tilt wheel travels (about 2 inches... why bother), the telescope would probably move the same distance, and you would be charged another $200 for the option.

Great Commuting Car - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By Cat22 - November 30 - 1:00 pmThis is the first Toyota I have ever owned and I am very satisfied with the Corolla. I commute 110 miles each day (mostly highways) and I have gotten as high as 41 mpg. My average mileage ranges between 37 to 39 mpg. Who needs an expensive hybrid with this kind of mileage. The engine is willing and fairly quick from a stop light. The five speed is fun and the ratios are well spaced. The a/c works great and there is plenty or room for passengers and parcels. Although the handling is not quite as sporty as my old Mazda Protege, it is a much quieter and smoother ride. Overall, very impressed with the Corolla. Is it perfect, no. Is it a great commuter, yes-especially at the pumps.

Love it! - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Nina - November 29 - 10:26 amFun to drive. Get the protection package to prevent unwanted rattles and noises, it protects your paint too. The sports package gives it a great look. This car is perfect for all age groups. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and noticed a lot of people said the seating was uncomfortable. I have not had that problem (my previous vehicle was a 4Runner so thats really all I can compare it to but I find it comfy). The car looks so small from the outside that its hard to believe how much space is inside. I love it!
