Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Still loving this car - 1994 Toyota Corolla
By judyc135 - December 31 - 10:00 amI wrote a review in 2007 about how great this car is and it is just as terrific now. What a totally reliable vehicle, how do I get another one just like it, maybe I wont ever need another one? I have 187,000 miles on it now. I think the body style looks current and the seats/mats are better quality than the 2009 Civic. Plenty of acceleration for me, excellent mileage, great A/C and defrost, perfect usable size. I cant believe the resale value now is only $1,000, it is worth so much more.

Lovin the new Corolla - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By kklein - December 29 - 8:50 amI bought my new 2008 Toyota Corolla S (red) a few days ago. I was looking for a new car, but didnt know what I wanted. I was looking at Honda, Nissan and Toyotas. I test drove an 08 Toyota Corolla and didnt like it. When I saw the 09 Corolla S, it looked real sharp! The car was smooth riding and looks sporty. This car really turns heads!! In case youre looking at the car colors on toyota.com, the colors online dont do the actual color justice. I was skeptical of the red when I found out thats the car the dealership found for me. But when I saw the car in person, it looked totally different than what that what I saw on Toyotas website. You wont be disappointed.

OK car.. - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By w0by - December 28 - 4:26 amIve had my 2010 Corolla S for a while now. Im happy that its getting around 30.5mpg in the city driving, I donÂ’t drive much on the highway. The wind noise is pretty quiet.. Things I dont like: It has a 4 speed automatic transmission, why isnt this a 5 speed or 6 speed? Come on Toyota... Loud road noise on concrete highways. Very loud. Unbelievably loud. My friends 2010 Elantra is silent compared to this car.. I hear creaking coming from the drivers side front pillar and back pillar on passengers side. I also hear a weird rattle underneath the dash that sounds like a tan can. Who knows? Ive never had a new car with rattles and squeaks...??

Not cool but wouldnt give it up - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By polskibear5 - December 27 - 2:00 amI just had a chance to replace my little yota with a 2004 nissan altima and I said no. This is the best car in the world, even if it lacks power and looks. Its reliable, and really efficient. All that a collage student really needs.

2003 LE versus 1993 LE - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Cape Cod Driver - December 26 - 10:00 amI guess I am one of the few who think the interior fake wood trim is gaudy, and the high visibility dash is annoying. I would have considered the CE, but it is not available with cruise control - in spite of the Toyota brochure. Is Toyota is playing marketing games with pricing ? The LE does not come standard with Cruise, yet every LE in my area has Cruise from the factory. Possible gimmick to make the price appear to be less than $ 16,000 ? My 1993 Corolla LE came standard with more options that the 2003 !

Very Happy - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Dan - December 25 - 5:53 pmThis is my first Car Ive bought brand new. And I was nervous at first, but after dealing with Toyota and seeing how good of a car the Corolla is I consider myself very lucky to have a Corolla. Its resale is good, doesnt lose much value, and you rarely hear of issues with any Toyota... I recently drove my car on a 3300km trip and after the trip I didnt find myself tired of drivig it. Is a fun car with alot of jump for its size.

S class A nice surprise! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Avius - December 25 - 2:00 amI bought the 2003 Corolla S thinking that it looked like the 2002. Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise (lucky me). It actually looks like a sports car but its not in that class. I got a good looking car (wasnt expecting much of that from the corolla) with great reliability at a low cost!

Watch It! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Centurus - December 25 - 2:00 amI researched for about 2 weeks and I decided on the Corolla CE. After getting to the dealership and finding out that you cannot get a CE with power windows I realized this car wasnt for me. So I started looking at the S. What a major up grade. But one major problem. Getting a manual in the Southeastern region without ordering is almost impossible. My dealer and I searched for one in my region. Which covers 4 states and it met with negative results. We spent 4 days looking for it mind you. I ended up getting a Auto with a crap load of features.

I think I have a lemon :( - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By smilechick - December 23 - 4:52 am*Starting the car: You have to have the clutch pushed very hard, all the way to the ground and make sure to hold the button in long enough. My fiance’s car is a 6 speed with a push start and I’ve never had any trouble with his car. I have driven a stick shift for over 15 years. This clutch is very picky and after a lot of time spent stranded, sitting in my car, I have finally realized that I need to ride the clutch, unfortunately. Thats the only way I can get it to get up and go without stalling. Im always super nervous while driving it for this reason and feel unsafe. My fiancé also refuses to drive my car for this reason. *Where is the sound proofing?? When driving in the rain/snow...

Excellent vehicle - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By onlytoyotas - December 20 - 2:20 amI have owned my Corolla for two months. It is an excellent vehicle for driving around town. I havent taken it on a long trip yet, but 30 miles on the highway felt fine. Seating and steering wheel positioning is a bit tricky, but I found a position Im happy with. I definitely like the feel of driving it, it handles nicely, and feels secure. The seats on the LE have a nice soft feel. The heating and A/C work great. The gas mileage so far has been similar to rated mileage - about 30 in overall driving (drive up hills a lot). I got the LE for invoice which I was happy about. A couple of small things - car dings pretty easily, and a very annoying seat belt ding. Otherwise very happy.
