Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Bad design on wipers - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Fix - January 15 - 10:53 amI have an 07 Tundra , and an 06 corolla, and just purchased the 10 corolla. I have 500km and I cannot drive it in the rain. The wiper design stinks. The little wiper blade puts the rain water back in front of your face on the driver side. You lose vision in the rain and the snow.

Basic info - 1994 Toyota Corolla
By Ryan - January 14 - 1:06 amThis is an efficient and reliable car. My model is a manual and gets about 30mpg. I have never had any maintenance issues. I am not a conservative driver and it easily takes all of the abuse I give it. This is a car that is built to last, its been 130,000 miles so far and hasnt needed much more than tires and an oil change every 5000 miles or so. It starts fine even in cold weather and is just an overall smooth running vehicle.

Good value for the money - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Biff - January 13 - 8:43 amPositives: Classic and classy exterior. Quiet and comfortable interior. This car is peppy on the start, smooth on the braking. Excellent fit and finish. Turns corners very easily and quickly. Excellent gas mileage. Short enough to parallel park in city. Negatives: cheap plastic storage slots under radio waste space; drink holders awkward to use, spill onto seats, should be under radio; radio control too complex, too many FM buttons; rear headrests block drivers view; antenna easy to steal, should power retract; needs flat surface for food/small objects in lieu of bulky container under armrest; driver-side piller creates blind spot. For $15,363 a very good value.

Was great until 60K - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By NYCHr - January 12 - 10:50 amI bought the car new in 2003 as a 2004 model. It ran great and had a great MPG in mid 30s w/ low maintenance until 60K, then everything - one by one broke down. The serpentine belt, left rear wheel, radiator and rear wheel bearing that required entire hub assembly to be replaced. The ran mostly highway in the NE. I wont be buying another Toyota for a while. It feels as it is only built to last 60K, then things break down one by one. With the Toyota recall all over the news, I am starting to wonder about the build quality. Oh, the paint chips at 30-40K miles. The noise is unacceptably high as compared to my new elantra.

First Toyota - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Mary Earman - January 7 - 7:56 pmWish that my Corolla would get better gas mileage. I have had it for a month and now get 24 miles to the gallon. Hopefully, after it is broken in, it will do better. The reason I purchased it was to save on gas and good resale and durability. I plan to keep it a long time. Should have gotten automatic door locks because it is impossible to get into the back seat with a key. It does get blown around on the highway a bit. Does great around town! I really do like my new car.

2009 Corolla S - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By shehan23 - January 5 - 10:53 pmThis car really blew my wife and me away. We were just about to buy a Mazda 3 when we tested this lil bugger. Everything about it is great... mileage, handling, acceleration, comfort (which is important because Im a big guy!). I even have plenty of room in the back. At first I had a gripe because my right leg rubbed the center console when driving, but after a couple of days I got used to it. Now I just want to drive it all the time... too bad its my wifes car!

You Can Feel the Quality - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Dave - January 3 - 1:30 pmWith 6,000 miles on my 2005 Corolla now, I am very impressed with the performance and feel of this car. I do not have even one small complaint about any aspect of the driving performance - good acceleration, good cornering, good visibility, good breaking, etc. I am 62" and have plenty of head room.

First and last toyota - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By yota - January 2 - 7:10 pmThis is the worst car Ive ever driven. Whatever small gains you get from the electric steering assist are nullified by any small gust of wind. You cant relax in a car when youre blowing all over the highway in the slightest wind. Furthermore, the seats are doughy and unsupportive. If youve ever had lower back problems in any car, this one will bring them right back. My Volkswagen had firm, supportive seats and I forgot what it was like to have a sore back after a trip - until now. Cheap backseats too - pull on a corner when theyre "locked" and it will have enough give for you (or a criminal) to reach into the trunk. Awful creamsicle backlighting treatment on the dash too.

Could you ask for anything more? - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By tferguso - January 2 - 10:00 amToyota has come up with a winner. STYLE, LOTS OF ROOM, Great gas milage and quiet. The lines of the car have moved closer to Camry then ever before. The whole family loves to drive this car. My wife is 54 and Im over 6 feet and it is comfortable for both. The trunk space and rear seats have been stretched to the limits and provide ample space for any family.

Good car for what I paid - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By thugwork - January 1 - 2:21 pmCar is solid, nice new feel even though I bought it when it was 5 years old. My daily driver is a 2001 corolla. The worst part about this one is the blind spots. Ride is smooth and its reliable. Gets me where I need to go (mostly longer trips). A couple of fuses randomly pooped out, cig lighter and radio wouldnt work. The provided manual showed me which fuses to replace and its back up and running. The engine feels solid and smooth. Transmission shifts properly. I like that the car tells you the outside temp and gas mileage, etc. It has wonderful storage capabilities, little pockets here and there, a huge upgrade from my 01 corolla. Overall a good car if you get it for the right price, great on gas mileage. AC blows icy cold and heat works great as well. Bought it at 109000, now at about 118000.
