Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Best MPG From Toyota for the $ - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Steve - February 5 - 1:53 pmI purchased for increased MPG, as my new job now requires me to drive several hundred miles per week. I did close to six months worth of research before deciding on the 09 Corolla. I have had this vehicle for about one month and 1400 miles. I have had a blast tested it in mixed driving, all city driving as well as all highway driving. My resulting MPG are much better than the advertised sticker ratings. Mixed is 35 MPG, city is 33 MPG and highway is 40 MPG. I was a little worried about going from my large SUV to a low riding economy car but the transition was easy based on great styling, ease of driving and of course the increadable MPG. Bottom line, you cant beat the fuel economy.

I should have got this in the 1st place! - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By JMErbrick1980 - February 5 - 1:40 amIn the five months that I have had this car, I have finally put away the Advil. My previous car was a 2001 Ford Focus-what a hoot! I have NEVER had to visit the service center once, outside of routine maintainance. With my Ford, I set up camp at least once a month at the local dealer. Good thing they were very helpful. I plan to keep this car for a long time. I know it will last, unlike that "other" car I used to own...

170k miles with only one minor problem - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By prichards621 - February 4 - 5:36 pmI have owned this car since 2010 and have been very pleased. It had only 25k miles on it when I bought now it has over 170k with only one minor problem. I drove it back and forth from Toronto to the Metro Detroit area almost every weekend in all types of weather and have only had one minor problem: a few years ago that the dial for the heat/air quit working and some part had to be replaced costing me between $70-$100 (its been a while). It has always been excellent on gas and starts up with no problems every time! I just got in an accident and the car is going to be claimed a total loss (no mechanical damage but too much body damage) I am sad to see it go!

inspect windshield before buying - 2015 Toyota Corolla
By former toyota fan - February 1 - 2:15 amI am very saddened by the experience Ive had with Toyota over the purchase of this vehicle. Overall this really is a good little car, gets the job done, decent pickup for the size, smooth enough ride although there is significant road noise compared to other vehicles Ive driven, and good feel to it while driving. HOWEVER, there seems to be an issue with the windshields that Toyota is getting from its vendor. My original windshield had a very weird magnifying effect with random waves running through it that would distort the view of cars, the road, and other objects as you drove it. I took it to the dealer who agreed with me and replaced it, only to find the second one had the same problem. The third windshield is much better but still have two waves running through the drivers viewing range from different angles creating a significant distraction, and if you drive the car long enough, tension headaches. It seems Toyota is sick of dealing with this issue and is, what appears to be, refusing to fix the third defective windshield. I was given a loaner while my car has been in the shop for 1.5 months back and forth over this issue and the loaner appears to be fine. There is a great deal of inconsistency in the quality of the windshields being put on the 2015 Corollas, and recently I heard this is also true for the 2016s. Unfortunately I am now stuck with a car that has a defective windshields with waves in it, although its better than the original windshield, and will have to replace it through Safelite on my own dime. This is a major fail, Toyota. Never again. I hope this review helps others to avoid the same situation. Not sure if this constitutes a significant impairment to the value of the vehicle which would be covered under lemon law in most states.

9 years and still going - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By barc77 - January 31 - 12:03 amI wrote a review about 2 years ago at 74,000 miles. Car is still running well with 94,000 miles. No issues, only routine maintenance since purchased new. No oil burning issues as others have stated. Just replaced plugs for first time (were worn but no indication of oil or other issues). The car still seems to go through brakes and tires quickly. Always starts and runs smooth. Nothing exciting but gets me to work every day without any issues. Gas mileage 28-30 mpg in mixed driving. Interior has held up very well. Acceleration is as expected for a car with 125 HP.

Really well designed car, efficient. - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Matt S. - January 30 - 5:26 pmMy Dad still drives his 94 Camry. So when I wanted a reliable car, I went with Toyota. The 2010 Corolla LE is fantastic. Very aesthetically pleasing design, comfortable seats with height adjustment. TONS of standard safety features (A big selling point), good enough engine with unbelievable fuel efficiency. A great AM/FM/CD/Aux sound system comes standard, as well. I did not encounter a very touchy steering wheel at all. It controls very well. The brakes are responsive and stopped me quickly in wet conditions without a skid. The abundance of standard airbags and ABS makes me more comfortable to transport friends or family.

Nice Ride - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By aszewczyk79 - January 28 - 10:00 amI just picked up my new Corolla and i love it. its a very nice and smooth ride. it handles well on a highway in a wind. the doors lock nice and tight and there isnt any wind noise inside. breakes are good in slippery conditions. i think i should be set for the next few years with a nice car.
