Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my car!!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

This model of Corolla is like no other. For the price you pay, you get way more car for your buck then say a Civic. It is so fun to drive. It hugs turns like a little race car. I love the 6 speed. The body of the car is really cute and does not look like a boring sedan. I highly recommend this car.

  • Great Car! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I love my new Corolla LE. The car drives wonderfully – smooth, solid and reasonably quiet. The styling is great – looks like a baby Lexus. It is so roomy inside. The mileage is incredible; I have calculated that I have gotten over 35 mpg in mixed driving. I had been car shopping for well over a year, test driven all sorts of cars, seriously considered “treating myself” to a much higher priced car. I did my homework and I am so happy that I went with the Corolla LE – a GREAT car for the money (or more). I would much rather have my money in the bank – and the Corolla will help keep it there!

  • Not getting the gas mileage expected!!! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I love my new car (its my first new one, last was a 89 929). However, I am concerned that after 700 miles, I am still not getting anywhere near the gas mileage stated. A full tank barely takes me 225 miles!!! Is anyone else experiencing this? I use Shell gas 87 octane. I dont drive that much, maybe three or four trips a day totalling 20- 30 miles. Could it be too much stop and start? At the dealership, the service rep told me it can take up to 900 miles to really break in the gas mileage. Please help!

  • toyota reliable...not the case here - 1998 Toyota Corolla

I bought my corolla new in 1998. Ive had nothing but problems with it. I only have 82000 miles and Ive had to replace the starter, water pump, battery 3 times, struts twice, front brake pads at least 6 times, rotors 3 times, new calipers, rear brakes twice, tires every two years, poor front suspension, dont feel in control of car. Burns oil (a quart every 600 miles appx) The headliner is disentegrating and the interior plastic around the doors is brittle and falling apart. Airbag light constantly flashes and rear seat very uncomfortable (bottoms out). Bought Toyota thinking Id have it for a long time. NOT! My Hyundai didnt give me this much trouble. Worst car Ive ever owned.

An excellent and reliable car. I recently had a bad accident in my former Corolla, and I am pretty sure I wouldnt be typing this if I was in a lesser car.

Toyota really knows how to make cars. I´ve owned ford, chevrolet, dodge, mitsubishi and chrysler, and nothing better than a toyota. Te design is nice because is sporty and has a lot of elegance. I´m really happy with this car and i recomend it for anyone who is looking for build quality, reliability and confidence.

  • A Lot For The Money - 2003 Toyota Corolla

We love this car. Zero defects upon delivery. Great gas mileage. Its very quiet and rides extremely well for a vehicle in this class. Has a very roomy interior, even for larger people. Smooth 5 spd gearbox makes it easy and fun to drive. Not bothered as much by wind as some others commented. Also, absolutely no sign of rotten egg smell. Overall, a winner!

  • Reliability and great looks. - 2014 Toyota Corolla

Im the last person one would expect to be seen in a Corolla, but I still got one! I shopped around and compare the Civic, the Mazda 2, 3, the Focus, the Elantra GT and the Accent. My previous two cars were fast turbo cars with plenty of power and handling. The Mazda 3 is definitely faster than the Corolla, and handles better. So why did I pick the Corolla instead of the Mazda? It felt like the most luxurious car of the bunch, with a decent ride, at a price others couldnt beat. I have everything I always wanted in one package with the "S", no need for additional 1200 Moonroof and other expensive options. The Mazda comes close, but it was more expensive.
