Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

No Regrets - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By ronfromla - May 3 - 11:47 amBought this car, a 2006 in 2011 with 38,470 miles. The dealer had put some junk tires on it, so I immediately replaced them with Goodyear Eagles. I have had no problems with car, None. Zip. Nada. I use Mobil1 and Mobil1 filter and go 75000 miles between changes, and bought a battery also, even though it was not giving me trouble it was original, 5 years old so I pre-emptive avoided any problems. Starts first time, every time, on just a couple turns of cranking, even in 0°F. I overpaid a bit, but oh well, still no regrets. Absolutely no peers ij reliability, and I disagree about not fun to drive. One time on a long trip I got 41mpg. Perfect blend of power and economy.

for wasnt really a fan boy anyway and unsatisfied - 2017 Toyota Corolla
By stephen - May 1 - 12:04 pmits a really nice car, I love driving it, it doesnt accelerate as fast as some of the cars Ive owned but its a 1.8 L 4 cylinder what do you expect? and notfanboy dont cry about the transmission get a manual and for unsatisfied thats a nice novel you wrote but again they do offer a manual 6spd transmission that alleviates the majority of what you dont like about the car. I cant say much about the backseat because I dont sit in it, I know the storage really impressed me for the size, I went to Costco and got two households worth of groceries folded down the back seats and fit everything with room to spare, didnt have to jam anything in and scratch my stuff up or anything. For everyone who is interested in the car its awesome, good mileage, very smooth even into the 100s, handles great and has a ridiculously tight turning radius. Again it was a solid buy.

quiet, solid, efficient, comfy - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Mr V - April 28 - 2:00 amPleasant ride. Astonishingly good torque for when you need it. Seat fabric, ceiling fabric look & feel quite upscale (way better than what Mazda 6 gives). Braking straight and confident. Tires optimized for low rolling resistance, so theyre the first thing to give way when cornering... if you dont mind a little controlled skid, you can corner aggressively. Very roomy, as opposed to (say) Audi S4: driver can sit up straight if so wishes, rear passengers not cramped, trunk space phenomenal. If I had to do it all over again (and if the wife didnt demand an automatic), Id wait for 2005, when Toyota will stuff a Celica engine & shifter into a Corolla body.

Best car - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By James - April 18 - 10:40 amI was going back and forth between the Toyotoa corolla and the honda civic for the longest time. Everbody I know likes the civic, but I started to research the corolla more and more. The corolla has more room, bigger trunk and the gas mileage is about the same. I looked at the features that the corolla versus the civic would give me for the price. I liked the S model, becuase it had all the features I wanted from the LE except for cruise control and my dealer added when we negotiated price. The civic didnt come close to the price and also the corolla I read is the most sold car in the world, but in the USA its the civic. more room, cheaper, more features, less price!

I wish the dealer could fix this one - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By ceglinton - April 17 - 10:00 amDid a lot of research to find a reliable car. Our 1998 Camry was totalled and we wanted to stick with Toyota. We like the looks of the Corolla and the way it drove. We purchased on 8/3/04 and two days later the check engine light came on. Dealer said it was the gas cap. Light came on again and this time dealer said it was the o2 sensor. They replaced and light came on again the same day. Now dealer says it is the computer. Waiting for part to arrive from Japan because dealer says there is an upgrade in the computer we need. They have had the car for two weeks and they are telling me it will be another week.
