Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Luv it more every day - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By jhub - June 15 - 6:33 pmOnly owned car for 3 months. The more I drive it the more I love it. Have had to replace a couple of engine mounts to take care of vibrations. Has 105000 miles so we have alot of life. The clear coat is coming off some parts but its a 97. Gas mileage is consistantly 31 mpg (auto trans). That is great with gas at $4.10 per gallon. My kids find the back seat very comfortable. Only complaint is it needs usable cup holders front and back. Over all great little car. But it is little. Trunk is large for such a small car. We installed window tint on back windows which really helps keep heat down inside car. A/C works great, very cold. Handles very well in all conditions. Love it.

Great Car! - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By aklemme - June 10 - 12:33 pmThis was my first new car that I bought. The outside design is nice, as well as the inside. Its a very reliable car and works great as a commuter. Gas mileage is great. Has lots of bass in the radio, could make it a hit or miss.

Great First Car - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By First Car Owner - June 10 - 2:00 amI couldnt really ask for more in a first new car. At almost 10,000 miles I have yet to have a single problem...knock on wood! I get many positive comments from people on the exterior looks. The interior white gauges on black interior is beautiful. The interior is very spacious, especially the back seat. Much more comfortable interior than the Civic or Jetta. Have had inconsistant mileage, as only real complaint, varying from low 20s to upper 30s depending on weather here in upstate New York.

Not Worth the $ - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By dee333 - June 8 - 4:46 amThe only thing this car has going for it is its fuel economy. If you are looking for a new car because of the gas prices and dont mind giving up handling and performance, this car is for you. Otherwise, this is not a car for new drivers (very poor handling) or car enthusiast.

Toyota Corolla S - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Wood - June 8 - 4:33 amMy Corolla is a very good looking and reliable car. It gets great gas milage (31c/h combined.) For a economy car it has a decent amount of space, and overall it gets the job done. But one major flaw is that the driver cabin is very very uncomfortable, and seats need cushioning. Im 510 (average height) and when I pull the seat back for more leg room the steering wheel is too far away, and when I push the seat forward my foot rests too high on the pedal. Ive tried every possible adjustment and nothing seems to work. More seating adjusments. (add power seats or pedals)
