Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

I owned a 2008 Corolla and loved it. The steering and vibration problems with this model are a real problem. Ive taken it back twice and the dealer isnt interested in the problem. Now I know why... they cant fix it!

  • Great so far - 2006 Toyota Corolla

We have loved this car! We have had no problems and love the great MPG. We would buy another one.

  • Gas milage - 2012 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Gas milage nowhere near advertised. I started out getting 30 in town, now have about 700 miles and milage now at 24mpg. Check of highway milage only 31. also the warning buzzer is so weak I cant hear it at all if car running, barley when car shut off. Maint said there was nothing they could do about the buzzer. If milage what you are looking forget this car.

This is one the best cars I have ever owned. You get so much for your money. This was a much better car than anything else I looked at.

  • Compromise - 2015 Toyota Corolla
    By -

My son insisted I get a Toyota. Within two weeks after getting my 2015 Toyota corolla, my lower body began to experience discomfort and pain. After a month of driving my car I visited my chiropractor and explained to him that since I purchased my car (never told him what I purchased) I have been having hip, knee and ankle/foot issues. He asked me "did you buy a Toyota? My eyes got big because I knew this was the problem I just did not know what was causing the problem exactly. He said the seats do not have the support the body need to function well. Getting out of my car feels like I am an 80 year old woman. I am still having issues and what is most interesting, my son also purchased a 2015 Toyota as I did and is having the same issues. This is the biggest regret when purchasing a car. I like to say I love my car but I do not. It is a pretty car no doubt. By the way, we are not the only ones having these issues and now that you know my experience you will probably realize that the pain and discomfort you are feeling came from driving your Toyota...at least a corolla! Yes, I am looking into trading this virus in. Toyota compromised comfort for looks.

One word describing it would be Loyal Its pick up is great, turns are awesome, mileage is wonderful.

  • Nice Ride, Great Value - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I bought my 2005 S last week. Though Ive only had it one week I am in love with the car. I only have a few complaints which I will post below. I also looked at the honda civic, the nissan sentra spec and the mazda 3 neither car was 1/2 as nice as the corolla S and each cost more. Overall this car is great for what you pay and the sleekness of my car gets so many stares.

  • Reliable gem. - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

The car is 2005 and I have never had one major repair needed in all the years I have owned it. This is my 3rd Toyota Corolla, and if I buy another car, it will the same make and model. Most reliable car on the road in my opinion.

  • Nice car with some minor quirks - 2003 Toyota Corolla
    By -

The Corolla is very roomy with a hugh trunk. The interior is the best part of the car, it looks expensive. However, I can not get a comfortable driving position. I am 6 feet tall, if I push the seat back far enough for my legs, the steering wheel is too far away. The suspension could use a little more refinement. The car seems to get affected by cross wind quite a bit. Sometime the car kind of float on the highway. The best gas mileage we seen was 32 at a highway only trip. Our average in mixed driving is around 29. This is not bad, but I expect a little better considering the advertised 30city/38highway.

  • A Pleasant Surprise - 2009 Toyota Corolla
    By -

After buying a car, its a great feeling when you realize that the car is a lot better than what you had expected. I brought it as cheap car for my long daily commute and I am extremely happy with it. Its a little weak on power, but besides that, it is great. I am getting an "average" of 39 mpg. Great for single person commuting. I would recommend Camry if there will be more than two passenger.
