This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, Toyota has discontinued the sporty Corolla XRS trim level. For the LE trim, leather seating is no longer available.

Pros:
  • Roomy interior, fuel-efficient engine, illustrious reliability record.
Cons:
  • Awkward driver-seat position, bland on-road personality, lack of model variation and upscale convenience features, gets pricey even when equipped with just the basics.

  • Great Buy - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Bought this car one month ago. I love it. 40 mpg overall avg with 25%city/75% hwy after 2000 miles. Handles well and acceleration with the 5 speed is great. The drivers seat takes some getting used to, not the most comfortable. I am 5ll and 195lbs and the seat and front leg room are only adequate for my size. I would not recommend this car to anyone above 62 or 220lbs. The build quality is typically Toyota solid. My backup car is a 93 Corolla that has 222,000miles on it and still runs great, so I am hoping the reliability will be the same with the 07. Overall, its a well built car with excellent resale value, is great on gas, and has a history of bulletproof reliability.

  • 10 year old car - Still a gem!! - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I bought my Toyota Corolla S 2007 in fall of 2006, and named her Libby. Truth be told, I have had prettier (aesthetically pleasing) cars, but no car has ever matched her reliability. She is now 216,000 miles old and still keeps on keeping on. When I got her, I was single and now 7 years later, we have a 7 year old daughter, 2 big dogs and Libby. My husbands truck is in the shop, and Libby has been our single vehicle off/on since 2008. In 2012-current, Ive had a relatively long commute for my job, upwards of 45-60 min one way, so both ways everyday - Lots of driving. Libby is a true workhorse, and we ensure she is has regular maintenance (full synthetic oil changes, etc.). Shes never, knock on wood, had any major repair. Right now she needs new shocks/struts (front/back) because weve lived in some very rural areas with lots of pot holes, dips and rough terrain. Im on this website right now because were searching for a bigger family vehicle, and will likely give Libby to a family friend while she job searches. I want to say the Toyota Corolla S is outstanding value, reliability and performance. It is not made for fast rides and showing off, but for a solid smaller sedan that excels in endurance and good quality!

  • #1 purchased vehicle on planet - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Well if you get down to it, the Corolla is the highest purchased vehicle in the world due to popular demand. 42 MPG, affordable, dependable, sporty, and talk about resale. I drive a Tahoe that I love and we needed a vehicle for my wife and looking at reviews on this car it is the highest rated and most purchased. There are a lot of other vehicles out there cheaper, but when I buy a vehicle I would like it to hold its value so when I trade it in I can get what its worth. Anyone looking to purchase a car need to purchase the Corolla or the Camry.

No major mechanical problems to report with regular 5k oil changes. Overall the car is reliable and comfortable for commuting. I think Im getting to the end of my first set of brakes and have replaced the tires with better michelins. The car starts and runs well even on cold mornings. My weekend ford ranger has a more comfortable seating and a better stock stereo but only seats two comfortably and gets at best 21mpg with 17-19mpg typical mileage for the 3 liter v6. The corollas 1.8 liter gets 32 mpg most often with up to 36 or 37mpg on long road trips. Rear seats are comfortable for kids and short people but too cramped for large adults. With light loads car has plenty of pep.

This car gave me peace of mind. I knew I would make any destination. Fuel bills were low and repair costs too

  • Great Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I owned this car for 15 months then it was totaled in a head-on collision. I had it for approximately 15,000 miles. The car, specifically the seat belt, air bad and design, saved my life. The entire front end crumpled and both the appraiser and tow truck driver said it was the worst they had seen in months. I walked away from the crash with a few bruises. I highly recommend this car just for its safety. Great gas mileage.

  • COROLLA ROCKS - 2007 Toyota Corolla

This car is wonderful in all aspects. Handling is tight and engine is very peppy. Great to maneuver in all situations. Not a long distance travel car since it is small in size. 35 MPG on average! Did have on instance of high engine acceleration while stopped at traffic light. That led me to reconsider owning it since the repair shop found "no problem". Since traded it in sad to say. I will miss the Toyota Corolla greatly.

  • Excellent, reliable, affordable - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I love my Toyota. I bought a corolla ce 2007, used a year ago, for $8800. My old 89 Camry had to be retired because at 230 thousand miles, it was rear ended. It ran to drive home minus a trunk ( it was a hard hit). So far my 07 Corolla has been trouble free, and gets excellent gas mileage ( average 35 mpg town and highway) . Its an economy car, and interior reflects it. Its small. But I have carried 5 people, and a baby in an infant car seat without problem. What more do you want for reliable, efficient, transportation?

  • My spankin new Toyota - 2007 Toyota Corolla

I just got my car yesterday! It is fun to drive. I fit perfectly at 51" my husband is 63" he is a snug fit (driver), but he felt it would work. The back seat is roomy and lots of head room. It handles well with good acceleration, though the pedal is a bit touchy. We would have liked to get the back seat air bags, but could not find them. Car sets higher than my chevy car-lumina, so it is easy to get in and out of. Overall, good smaller car.
