Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Just bought my second Toyota Corolla. After reading prior reviews, I am convinced some people are opposing dealers or amateur drivers who cannot drive this fantastic car. The steering is great! Went 2 miles on the interstate with my hands off the wheel, the Corolla stayed in a perfect line until the next curve. People were probably texting, then blaming the car for their poor steering.I think the interior is great, no lint on the seats. The interior is no different then other cars in its class as far as materials! Step on the gas and the car goes! I passed muscle cars on the highway! Gas mileage around 35 mpg so far. Know the car, before you buy it! Love the S model.

Overall very happy. Great mileage; 35+mpg from the dealer on the first tank, 39.2 mpg on I95 to Myrtle Beach at 80mph all the way. 36+mpg at 85-90 mph on the way back. Only problem is squeaky rear dash panels (plastic vibrates against the metal underneath.

I have owned the 03 Corolla Sport for about 1.5 years. We have put about 20,000 miles on the car. Overall, I really like this car. I love the style and the ride. I marked a 9 for fuel economy because I dont think we ever get the listed mileage - but when does that every happen? I gave it lower marks on interior design and comfort because of the position of the steering wheel. I feel like I am sitting too close to the wheel, but if I move further back, I cant reach the pedals. The other thing that I dont like is the ground effects make it impossible to change your own oil.

This is our 4th Corolla, and it shares the driveway with my 89 GT-S and my daughters 88 DX, each with over 200K miles on their odometers. We traded in my wifes tired Camry for it, and she absolutely loves it. Its roomy, good- looking, easy on the pocketbook, and fun to drive.

Just bought my new 05 corolla LE. I absolutely love it. I have owned several Toyotas in the past and know how reliable they are. The wood grain interior gives the car a classy feel and I love being able to raise the height of the seat as well as the distance to and from the steering wheel. You really sit high in this car. Its the best looking car on the road right now. They have added anti-theft, tire gage, and other goodies to give this car a luxury feel. The doors feel thick and safe.

This car may not be sexy, but it is very dependable. I have never regretted this purchase. I have to do normal service on it and have parts replaced, but this is a great car. My mechanic has told me so even. People have told me that it will last forever. 125,000 miles and still going strong!

  • 2004 Corolla an Excellent Choice - 2004 Toyota Corolla

The car is extremely practical as well as flexible with its rear seat back fold down reature. Gas mileage is outstanding, 33-40mpg. Handling is excellent, but it has no pretentions to be a sports sedan. Build quality inside and out is as good as it gets. Automatic xmission shifts without and roughness whatsoever.

I got the new 03 for 16,300 - they had the car on the lot so I didnt feel the need to negotiate to the last dollar. It was worth every penny. Saves me a load of gas and has plenty of acceleration power. I would recommend this car to anyone who drives a lot (more than 20 miles a day) and to people who want a car thats manageable and never needs repairs (isnt that everybody??) Everyone go out and get a corolla~

  • What a Value! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Yesterday I just bought a 05 LE Corolla for my girlfriend. Her 01 Corolla was totalled but she loved that one so much that she wanted a new one. The value of this car is outstanding. I paid about 8K more for an equally comparable VW Jetta, wish Id bought the Corolla instead and saved myself the aggrevation of buying a lemon for 8K more! The corolla had many options, but the standard for LE wood grain interior definately adds a little more class to the corolla. You cant beat that gas milege either. My only negative comment is that I thought the engine was a little loud a high revs. (could be the german car Im used to is quieter).
