Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Almost 50000 miles and no complaints here. Nothing but regular maintenance so far. We previously had a Kia Optima and it saw several trips to the shop at this point in its life cycle. Just a good reliable economical no frills car. Highly recommended.

Im a musician for Jesus and travel all over to preach and play. Lots of room in the back, seat goes down, can carry all my equip. Rides nice, mileage is great (beats the heck out of my Dodge Caravan) I get alot of compliments on the color..."sea foam mist." Audio is good. Im really glad I got blessed with this. I bought it at 44,000 miles and at 49,000 miles the serpentine belt started squealing from having cracks in it. They normally need to be replaced at 50,000 miles and up so thats cool. Gault Toyota replaced it reasonably and I got a shuttle ride home and back the next day. Id love to get a prius next or a toyota convertible. Peace, in Christ...Dougie Douglas

A really pleasant car, which is very well made. Quiet, peppy, good looking and reliable. The mix cant be beat at this end of the price spectrum or even above it.

  • TRD needs more parts for this car - 2001 Toyota Corolla
    By -

the S model is nice. the interior is nice also. TRD does need to make more parts for the car and so does the aftermaket companies. if toyota would target the teenagers more like honda, and their civic, maybe there would be more things in the works.

  • Great car! - 2014 Toyota Corolla

Pros: Comfortable, fuel efficient, roomy for a compact car, quiet, LED headlights are great, Entune system is easy to use/has good sound quality, back up camera, visibility, automatic climate control. Cons: Sun visor is short and does not telescope, CVT transmission is a little sluggish from a stop due to somewhat high starting ratio, not very sporty handling. I am 511" and I can comfortably sit in the rear seat behind where I place the driver seat. I am getting mileage slightly better than advertised on my LE. The car rides nice. Five adults for short trips only as the back seat is narrow. People over 6 will have little headroom in the rear seat.

  • Buy It You Will Like It! - 2006 Toyota Corolla

Without a doubt, this is one of the best Toyota products I have ever purchased in the past 35 years. I have owned many Toyotas as well as one Honda and this car by far is outstanding. The build quality and features for the money are worth every the price. The double air tight insulation is also great as road noise is not heard. This 2006 Toyota S is just as quiet as my 1999 Toyota Camry which is a very quiet car.

  • Eh possibly my last corolla - 2001 Toyota Corolla

Bought it with 77k on it, and now have 153k. Had to replace the struts... like many 2001 owners I have had a check engine light on for 3 years now... nuts, it turned itself off for 90 days and came back on, and they figure its either sensors or the catalytic converter. Its a pretty good car, but the gas mileage went from good to horrible with age. Its okay overall. The dash lights are gone now.. they dont work, and the engine idles really hard ... I hope it keeps going and going.. I aim to get 220,000 miles on it so if it does that I will be thrilled

  • Good car but has quality issues - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I have purchased this car in 06/2006 and had driven less than 9K miles per year. The car suddenly stopped on the highway with 18 K miles on it, the issue has been traced to a faulty ECU (Computer) and did some research on the internet and it seems to be a common problem for this model. I have called Toyota customer service and they have taken care of the towing costs to my home town and replaced the part as it was still under warranty.
