Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

2009 Corolla XRS Consumer Review - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Pete - December 29 - 11:50 amReliability I will not rate due to only having it a few days. This is my 3rd corolla and they have been flawless in reliability so I pray it remains the case. The car is very fun to drive, sporty and practical on economy. Has good power off the line and plenty of power in reserve when driving. Drives solid, powerful, and quiet like a European car. I hope Toyota recalls the rumored transmission issue they knowingly sell the car with. I have heard about it and pray its not true, but I hope Toyota remains in good standing by honoring a fix to any known issue. Otherwise, this boy wont be buying anymore cars from them. It could be nothing but do your homework and keep abreast of news about this

Makes Sense to own - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By HpRet - December 28 - 1:26 pmThis is my 4th Toyota... 1st one was purchased in 1969. Ive owned many other cars over the years. I have rented many cars for business as well. Toyotas are bland, but reliability, economy and fit/finish convinced us to return. Our first weekend with the car was a 600 mile trip. We averaged 43 MPG! The car was quiet, comfortable and handles well. Another benefit, it fits much better in our garage than the Silverado we traded. Toyota continues to set the benchmark for mainstream vehicles.

11 years and going strong - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By njohnsonga1 - December 23 - 8:19 amI have had this car for 11 years and 217,960 miles. I drive a lot. This car has never broken down on me and never had any major mechanical issues. I have always gotten the oil changed on time and kept up with things such as new brakes, tires, ect. I have never had any issues with it, and if I could buy the exact same car again I would.

the best choice you can make - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By loyal - December 22 - 10:00 amI was very careful in making this purchase and thank god edmunds was there to help. I owned a ford (fixed or repaired daily) 00 focus before this and it is a motorcycle compared to this car. The dealer was fair in the price and what can i say, when you shut the door, its a quiet, comfortable ride with a zoom zoom that beat out the noisy mazdas i test drove. And on top of that it also beats the small honda civic by far for its class. Buy it, the money is well worth it and the car will give you the peace of mind your looking for. Well built, nice body style with the ground effects and fog lights, and you get what you pay for.

Front seats are awful - 2017 Toyota Corolla
By MillieT - December 17 - 1:26 amI have only had this car a little over a day. I drive 45-60 minutes one way to work everyday. So a total of 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours a day in my car. If you do any kind of long distance driving, beware, the seats are extremely uncomfortable. There is zero support. Also, hard to get in and out of unless you are young in age and or in great shape. I wish I would have paid more attention before I leased it.

Never let me down - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By sylvia713 - December 16 - 1:43 pmI got my 2000 toyota corolla when i was 19 for my first car and i just now (4 years later) got rid of it because it was to small, i have a baby now and the backseat is not very big. Besides the lack of space my corolla was awesome, only thing i ever had to to do was routine maintenance! Awesome first car. If your not worried about space i definitely recommend a corolla cant beat toyota reliability!

Nothing Better for the Money - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By AirJay78 - December 15 - 6:56 amThis car is a masterpiece. For the price, youll find nothing better. A perfect overall commuter. A perfect show car if you want to put the money into it. Ride and handling is superb. Plain models are quite ordinary but the S class model changes the entire car completely! It turnes it into an affordable sportscar. And now that cars are all growing within their class, this car is not as small as it once was in the 90s. Upgrading this car is a breeze if your into that. Only recommendation is that anti lock brakes be standard or at least standard for S class models minimum. Other than that, it stays true to its reliability record.

Nice Car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By dutch4505 - December 14 - 9:43 pmHave had the car for 2 weeks. So far it has been good. Also own a Pontiac Vibe which is the same power train. Great gas mileage. Quiet inside. Steering is very touchy. No rubbernecking while driving, or you will find yourself in an other lane or riding on the sidewalk. Constant correction is needed to stay in your lane.
