Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

My first Toyota - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Laura - January 18 - 9:10 amAfter endless research this vehicle was the perfect choice for me. The MPG, safety ratings, reliability history, longevity since first introduced in 1968, interior design and features, while a bit expensive, seem very well built. I like the LE simulated wood look. For a small sedan I feel safe and secure. I was disappointed by the lack of ABS and side curtain airbags as optional equipment. However, the crash test results were impressive. This car is fun to drive and has decent acceleration.

Good value for an inexpensive car. - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By rrtxcorolla - January 18 - 3:55 amI bought my Corolla S brand new in 07. It is 04-2011 now. I put 99.7% of the 65,000 miles on it myself. I have only done routine maintenance to date. Brakes and tires at 59,995 miles, Synth Oil changes every 7,500 miles, engine air filters every 15,000 miles, and cab filters every 30,000 miles. Im planning on replacing belts and plugs at 75,000. It delivers 28 mpg in the city, and 38-42 on the highway depending on how fast I drive. I have had NO problems. None. This isnt a luxury car. It isnt a sports car. It isnt a tiny car. What it is, is a good, dependable small-car with a low cost of operation Everything works like it did when I drove it off the lot brand new.

MY DREAM CAR - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By dbkb - January 15 - 2:00 amI was a previous owner of a 97 Honda Accord, and I loved my car. I looked at every single car dealer and the only car that was very attrative looking to me was the corolla. I test drove it, went home, sent my husband up the next day, with the color, the details of everything I wanted-the (sport package) and he came home with it that afternoon. I love my car. Its good on gas, its sporty, very attractive, and comfortable. Thank you Toyota for a great car. Sincerly, Karen Brewer P.S. This is my first brand new car. I always had used cars.

The greatest car Ive driven - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Missiechick - January 15 - 2:00 amI love my new car. I am in highschool and it was my first car. I had to get it in black. It has a sleek design, handles inpecably, and is fun to drive. I love the style on the inside. I just wish the drivers seat had more comfort controls. Other than that I give it an A+

Great Car ...but, it stinks!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Gailopitz - January 15 - 2:00 amI bought my 2003 Corolla last February. Loved it from the beginning. Handles well, great mileage, and nice interior. My problem is (and continues to be) the smell of eggs inside the car. I asked the dealership and went to Toyotas website to register this complaint. The only answer I get is that the smell of sulfur is from the gas!! Ive tried my different types of unleaded regular gas, and the smell continues. It is especially sickening in the winter with the windows up and the heat on. For this reason alone I want to be rid of the car.

Worst car to drive in my life - 2012 Toyota Corolla
By adriva01 - January 14 - 11:03 pmThe design isnt my favorite. I guess the Toyota designers are the first to built the very first ugliest car in the world. I hope the reliability remains the same as in the past. But comparing my former Corolla 96 to the 2012...I can say the old one was much more better. I regret to not taking the time to repair my old Toyota (very friendly drive and also much more confortable) and getting the newest (awfull) version.
