This Year's Model Updates:

A sporty new XRS model debuts boasting a 170-horsepower engine and a sport-tuned suspension. Additionally, all Corollas receive a restyled front fascia and rear taillights. The LE model now has Lexus-like Optitron instrumentation, along with a cloth-trimmed center console and sun visors. Side curtain airbags, stability control and a JBL audio system are all new options.

Pros:
  • Refined and roomy interior, excellent gas mileage and crash test scores, long list of safety features, spunky XRS model, illustrious reliability record.
Cons:
  • Awkward driver-seat position, bland personality, gets pricey when even basic features are desired, sedan body style only.

  • I love my car!!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Ive had my Toyota Corolla for about a year now and I have no complaints what so ever. It is probably the best car Ive ever had besides a Toyota Camry. When we drove the Toyota it was very quiet in terms of road noise. Last summer we went on vacation to the Smokie Mountains. We are a family of four and were able to pack everything we took there and the extras we brought home in the trunk. There was plenty of leg room for both of my teenage boys and my husband. I work in Home Health and drive a lot - the gas mileage is great on this car. If you are looking for a great little car for very little money this is the one!

  • XRS is worth it - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I had purchased a Matrix XR...always wishing I had a Matrix XRS. I couldnt find one when I started looking again so I got the Corolla XRS and am loving it. Ive put 15000 miles on it in the last year. I purchased snow tires for winter as the summer rated tires suck in the snow and cold we have in Minnesota.

  • Great Car - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I bought this car because I drive for work. I get on average 35 mpg and that is city and highway. Four-cylinder but it has get up and go when you need it. I definitely recommend. Also recommend getting the steel reinforced doors as an extra safety feature.

  • Things i dont like about this car - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Great little car but expensvie like $16,500 with tax. Love the grey two tone dash interior. Automatic could be the best ever and engine magic. Toyota suspension plain suck and should be reworked including the TACOMA. Engine light has come on both vehicles could be bad gas. After driving my 85bmw 325 its well not as good as that 80s car lol.

  • Worth every Penny and Dollar $$ - 2005 Toyota Corolla

This car is more then what I expected, it is great looking and fun to drive. I have had many comments that it looks like a baby lexus. This vehicle has it all, great looks comfort and super gas mileage. I have owned many american made cars, but what impressed me the most was how solid this car feels and how great the fit and finish is. My american cars always had squeaks and rattles after the first hundred miles or so. I am looking forward to many reliable and trouble free miles. Way to go Toyota for building a well executed car. Heres to moving you forward!

  • Toyota-the way to go but... - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This is my third toyota. My first was the 2000 echo, my second is the 2001 4Runner and the 2005 is my third. I bought the corolla for its great mileage and ofcourse, you cant go wrong with a toyota! Other not favorite features include no Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, etc displays on your dashboard. The body is very weak. Someone hit my car when parked and the bumper caved in and I lost some plastic piece that goes where a light would be on a normal car. Now theres a bare hole. I love toyota but it could use improving. I think my echo had a better interior - sad.

This is my first new car in 11 years and I am glad I chose this car. I really like the way it looks and drives. It is a very comfortable car

  • Much better than 2004 - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I drove several 2004 Corollas earlier this year - was not impressed. The 2005 made up for the weaknesses. Its as if Toyota read my mind.
