Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

XRS is an underrated vehicle - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By tell1 - February 11 - 4:00 pmThis car looks like a Corolla S but drives way better. It takes some practice to figure out when to shift on the XRS ensure you are upshifting at the right point but it is well worth it and the cam shift between 6800-7000 is cool - the car comes alive. If you like manual transmissions you will like this car. It is almost like a motorcycle engine put into a corolla.

Corolla From Clunker - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Mark90250 - February 9 - 3:13 amTraded in my 4Runner for the CARS rebate and bought the 2010 Corolla. I have to say from where I was its like driving a Cadillac. I commute in the some of the worst traffic there is on interstate 405 in the Los Angeles area. Counting the commute and on my third tank of gas I am averaging 32.8 MPG. Stop and go traffic all the way home. The sound system is good but turns to great using my iPod through the standard auxiliary input. The front seats are comfortable enough, though headroom is tight even for me at 5 ft 10". Nevertheless its an enjoyable commute. The ride is smooth and the steering is not stiff as I have read elsewhere. All in all...Very nice.

Not too shabby - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By lauren - February 7 - 2:00 amThis car is my first sedan, and I am impressed. I really like driving it and after almost a year absolutely nothing has gone worng. Its fun to drive, but could go a little faster on an incline. The gas mileage could be better but its acceptable. Overrall, I love my car, but I definitely get the egg smell at times, too.

2014 Corolla 6-speed manual - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By schooby - February 5 - 6:55 pmPurchased brand new in Charleston SC for $15,600. On flat roads at 60mph I am getting 44 mpg, I average 40 mpg going from work to home. I drive 40 miles one way and its half city half highway driving. Car is smooth and quiet, transmission is easy and smooth to shift. Engine is very quiet, its not a hotrod but picks up and goes rather nice. I had cruise control installed after market for $399 (manual trans does not offer cruise) and it works great, back seat has plenty of room for my infant and toddler rear facing car seats, trunk is roomy, 6th gear offers low RPM on highway speeds 60-70 mph is 1800-2500 rpm roughly. center console is comfortable as arm rest while driving, clutch feels smooth

Oh how I miss my baby. - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By missjessymae - February 5 - 9:30 amI bought my corolla new in 2004. She was totaled a little less than a month ago with 130+ miles on her. I believe I replaced the tires maybe 2 to 3 times in the 7 yrs I had her. The brakes I replaced once in 2006. I never had to put her in the shop for anything other than usual maintenance. I had 1 battery replacement in 2010. I would recommend to anyone...very good car.

Mileage Lie - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By dwarrior - February 2 - 10:00 amFirst new car. Great for college student, like myself, however, I got ripped off with the price, and the gas mileage is nowhere as good as it claims. Im lucky to get 19 city mpg!

Great Car! - 2014 Toyota Corolla
By kann993 - February 1 - 2:53 amI traded in my Ford Focus for a Corolla and I have to say that I absolutely love it! It is smooth, quiet and has a great audio system PLUS a backup camera! You get so much for your money with this car. I dont have any problems with the horsepower, but then again I dont race from stop lights or anything like that. This is a great far for young people and also if you want a car with the most bang for your buck youll want to check it out!
