Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

A Pleasure to Own - 2015 Toyota Corolla
By gski87 - February 18 - 5:09 amI bought the Corolla after looking for a car I know would last for years, that would look great, and have all the little features I wanted. It looks great inside and out and its a lot of fun to drive. I honestly love the CVT engine--I try my best to get the most MPG I can get. Im at 42.7 MPG on my current tank (I drive 80% highway) so Im not sure where the other reviewer was coming from.

Two Thumbs Up and a Smile - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By Ody - February 16 - 7:43 amI was apprehensive when the dealer wanted me to look at my Corolla, always owned a mid-size Ford or GM, after testing it out all I wanted to do was sign on the line, even forgot to haggle the price down. For the first time in years I cant wait to get in the car and drive. It handles good in snow and ice, w/ easy recovery in a slide. The heat and ac are top quality and at 103k miles its peppy and smooth. Love the drop down seats in the rear to expand the trunk. The cashier at the gas station though I had moved away! ;-) Did I mention the the stock stereo is more than you would ever expect out of this little gem?! Overall, great car for all ages and puts a smile on my face.

Ive had Toyotas since 1971 My NX car Hyundia Sanota - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By robertgdean - February 15 - 8:52 amFor those who own a 2009-2011 Corolla LE Things that were added "Great". What they forgot is to put a arm rest in center console. I had one on my Camry LE.1992..wished I still had the arm rest. CON.power steering goes out when U reach 15mph or then the transmission kicks in 3rd geer when slowing down. Im told that was to save gas/BULL For those dealing with the head rest, Pull them out an place them in backward. The seats. go to a junk yard and take out a Camry seat in good shape, get it. I drove back fr NC to NASH handling bad. used to putting one hand and was able to glide. Of all the cons heresAproIt has to be one of the SAFESTCARSon the road. Im living PROOF myCorollaWillSaveUrLIFE

2008 Corolla S - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By JP - February 10 - 1:26 amLets see, I traded in my 2005 Toyota Matrix XRS 6 speed manual for a 2008 Toyota Corolla S automatic. First thing I noticed was how smooth the ride was. Interior materials are excellent...and the exterior styling was very well done with the ground effects, and spoiler. The white faced gauges are something I really like...very sporty but also very useful day or night time. I see they did away with those in the 2009 model. Overall, very pricey for a small car but hey you get what you pay for. I think the Corolla is worth it. Test drive it...appreciate it for what it is...a small fuel efficient vehicle that has some nice sporty accents and a bullet proof engine.

A Good Year for a Toyota Corolla - 1998 Toyota Corolla
By DiButterfly2003 - February 9 - 2:00 amPurchased in 1998 and still seeing the model being driven by others, car has been very reliable and met my travel needs. Design wise it is ho-hum but mileage wise it is excellent. A tank of gas fuels about 300-320 miles - more if you have the Westerlies behind you. Although a sports car fan at heart, the car is my 4th Toyota and it has served me well.

Yep - Its a Corolla!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By slick vick - February 9 - 2:00 amBought my Corolla over the summer and immediately took it across the country. Still feels new like the day I bought it. The new redesign is SWEET, looks better than any compact out there. Sporty yet kinda sophisticated. Though next time Im going with something with a little more POWER. Suggested Improvements: That random sulfur/rotten egg smell problem! Thats got to be fixed! Its quite an offensive smell and embarassing when you have passengers! Check the paint before you buy. My paint looks "runny" towards the bottom of the side doors, though its not very noticeable. The interior carpet is cheap. Mine has already severely frayed around the doors.

2009 Corolla S - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By John Doe - February 8 - 11:06 pmI decided to try the all new 2009 Corolla Sport and I absoloutely loved it! I can turn easily. The acceleration is just fine. I feel very comfortable while driving. I would heavily recommend the Corolla over any sedan at this pricepoint in the market right now. Great buy for what your getting!

Most reliable car I ever had - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By Aum - February 6 - 7:46 amThis car was amazing. My dad bought it used in 98 with only 5k miles on it, then gave it to my mom later, and then passed it on to me. I just sold it last week because of insurance cost, but this car is worth every penny. Never gave any member of my family any trouble, only did oil changes, and changed the timing belt after 102,000 miles. Everything else is original other than the tires.

It Just Wont Die - 1998 Toyota Corolla
By fifi_lemon - February 3 - 3:55 amThis is a really good car. 12 years, its still going pretty great. My moms trying to get two more years out of it, which WILL happen, before she gets a new one. If youre looking for a reliable car for many years from now, this car is for you. No major breakdowns, except the "check engine" light has been going off. The mechanic says its because a wire keeps getting bumped. For the love of pete.
