Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Wanna love it but I dont.... - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By corolladude - March 4 - 10:00 amProblems galore since I got it a year ago...suspension brackets replaced, interior panels replaced due to noises. Currently, front dash buzzes and rattles, instrumentation panel buzzes, car lurches forward when at a stoplight, weird horn like noise when reversing, rust spot forming on roof! Ridiculous for this to happen to a toyota! I wanna sell it already...

2006 Corollas are the BEST! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Lyn - March 4 - 3:03 amI drove my brand new 2006 Corolla across the country from Ohio to Seattle in November 2005, and the performance was outstanding. Fuel economy was consistently between 41 and 46 mpg, and this included going over the mountains. It was comfortable to drive, had more storage than I had expected, handled very well in all weather conditions, and even survived hitting a deer in Colorado (although the entire front end had to be replaced). It is a peppy, fun little car to drive -- particularly with its smooth, quiet manual transmission. City driving up and down the steep hills of Seattle still gives an mpg of 34. Passengers are always amazed at how much room is in the back seat area, too. Great car!

2002 Toyota Corolla S - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By nomore toyotas - March 3 - 6:26 amAt 50,000 miles, my car started burning oil. Toyota refused to fix it, and blamed me. Then, they demanded to see all of my oil change receipts. First, I change my own oil, so the receipt only shows "Automotive". Second, the warranty states that Toyota does not require oil change receipts. Anyways, I still have the car, and in 80,000 miles, I have replaced the engine bearings ($1500), the front right axle bearing ($1400), the AC compressor ($900), and the front left wheel bearing ($500 including alignment).

Rockin Rolla - 2001 Toyota Corolla
By Adam - March 1 - 3:46 pmI havent had this car very long yet but bought it because of its reputation as a solid reliable car. And thats exactly what it is. Im very very happy with it, just recently took it on a 11 hour drive, and it performed great. Has enough power to pass on the highway no prob...just drop it into 3rd and its gone. I suggest the manual though, I dont think it would be so great in an automatic, but thats just me. The gas mileage is awesome! Its fun to drive for a 4 door economy car, and looks good too. The A/C works great, but really robs the engine of power. But yeah, great choice if youre looking for a reliable cheap to own car. Cant go wrong with a Toyota.

My Corolla XRS - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Sean - February 29 - 4:16 pmI just recently purchased a Corolla XRS and have found it to be both fun and practical. I like the throttle sensitivity and 6 speed gearbox. The gauges are incredible. I dont like the (pretty much) solid rear axle, and the near SUV ride height. I would also like to see a telescoping steering wheel in time, as this one seems too close to the dash.

Great car! Great value! - 2016 Toyota Corolla
By SG - February 28 - 8:16 pmFirst I want to say thank you to everyone who writes reviews. As a person who doesnt know too much about cars I really relied on the honesty of the consumers to help to choose my new vehicle and here we are :) So I wanted to make sure that I pay it forward and write a review in hopes of helping someone in their car buying decision. Pros: Trusted name, cost/value, mpg, tech features, safety and handling Cons: Shape of the headlights, on low beams it does limit how far they illuminate ahead especially on hills (but I have gotten used to it after a month) high beams are fine And the middle console is a little smaller than Im used too (which is really no big deal I just need to stop storing so much junk in my car lol) Overall love this car feels great knowing I didnt have to compromise quality for value and this is an upgrad from my 2002 honda accord.

A great car - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By Chris B - February 28 - 10:00 amBought this car in Sept. 2000 and its been an absolute joy to drive. My only concern was winter driving and how well the all-season tires would do. The car quickly put my concerns to rest. The front-wheel drive and the O/D button on the automatic shift give the car solid traction and great control. Hills are never a problem and I only have to fill up ever three weeks for city driving. All around its just a fantastic car.

Great Little Car - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Evan - February 28 - 10:00 amWe got our car back in March. We love it, Toyota sure struck it rich in designing this little car. I hope to see them put this kind of thinking into all of their cars

This Is A New Car? - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Phil Ory - February 28 - 10:00 amIf you?re looking for a car that has antique rear drum brakes, and an equally old fashioned cassette tape player, then this is the car for you. I dont even know anyone thats touched a cassette tape for the last 5 years. Whats next Toyota, an eight track tape player, and drum brakes on the front? This is 2003, not 1983. Get with it Toyota?.join the rest of us here in the present. And what?s with the radio antenna? It looks like a small dorsal fin sticking up out of the roof?why couldn?t it be embedded in the rear glass? That way we wouldn?t have to remove it before going through the carwash.
