Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Great Little Car - 2012 Toyota Corolla

I just purchased a certified pre-owned 2012 Toyota Corolla S with 30k miles on it. The exterior is very sporty and sexy and the seating is extremely comfy even for myself who has a bad back. The lumbar support is awesome. The ride is smooth and the electric steering needs a little getting used to but it turns well and has a tight turn radius. The transmission shifts smoothly and quietly. It only has 132 HP but it suits us fine for just driving around town and back and forth to work and I average 33.6 MPG with the 4 speed automatic transmission.

  • The Corolla Has So Much Going For It! - 2009 Toyota Corolla

The Corolla has some giddie upn go and handles well for a little car, because I like to move it through traffic, I like to shift from lane to lane, I like to find my openings, I like to time it , I like to make my move, I like to beat those yellow lights. This car can handle all of that!

  • Manual locking the door is a chore - 2016 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I love Corolla, I owned 2 previously, one lasted 171/2 years that has 274,000 miles, it is still running. Any way, I got the lowest model L expecting similar convenience but I am annoyed with finding the locking button. It is sort of hidden behind the door handle and it is so small, extremely awkward to locate and push it. Also, there is a waste space on the inside door, previously there was a little storage that I could put little items that I could reach quickly while driving, not there any more. I also missed another storage space near the mirror control button. I use that space too for my small items within reach, now I have to look down to put small items away and have to look down to locate it. Other than these inconveniences, the car is great so far. I only own it for 1 month but I expect it is a great car for long term value. Anna

  • Toyota corolla... Do you have to say anything else? - 2013 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Do careful research and test driving and there really is only one option and no competitors. You simply cant find a car with the size comfort quietness and safety. Plus fuel economy is the same as the yaris and the echo before it except in town. Reliability... Its a toyota. Just change the oil and it will keep running forever. We live in our car and put about 800 km on it every week. I upgraded for the 2008 Yaris. It makes sense they dropped the Yaris sedan, for just a bit more you get a car you could live in with the same gas milage. Yaris had legendary dependably but it was a point A to B kinda car. To spend money on any other compact would be a a choice that is not based on facts.

  • Very satisfied - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Bought this car in January 2004, and the only thing I have had to repair are the front brakes. The car is very dependable, comfortable, and gets decent mileage (25-city; 35-highway). Toyota needs to equip its cars with better OE tires than the Goodyear Integritys that came with the car... had to be replaced after 20000 miles, and they got lousy traction.

  • Reliable and Excellent Corolla - 1999 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Very Comfortable and reliable car with excellent safety. This car has already 7 years and the engine really bright with power and economy. For me the more important thing is the reliabilty about it. The main maintenance that I made to the car was to change the clutch just 2 months ago. This is a really, really, really good car, cheap to maintenance.

  • Outstanding - 1999 Toyota Corolla

I received this car from my aunt and uncle when I got my license. Since then, its been in 2 wrecks (1 major, 1 minor) and its still going strong. The mpg are amazing. I can get to and from Toledo (about 2 hour drive both ways) with only $20 bucks.

  • 2010 Corolla LE - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I love my new Corolla! I average 36mpg. I really searched for a car with great mpg that was affordable too. The LE has all the features I wanted. The radio is good, interior is roomy and comfortable. Excellent choice! Toyota really does a great job making cars for petite people! Thank you!

  • lil Ms. Dependable - 1995 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Toyota did it right with this one. She starts in the cold and gets out of snowbanks when the BMW next door gets stuck. She got over 600 miles on a tank on the highway. She smiles and takes all thats dished out. She even has 2 cupholders. The only strange kink is that she gets all foggy inside when more than 2 people are in the car on a cool day. I carpooled 5 teens at times, plus me--crowded and foggy, but do-able. Sometimes she asks for higher grade gas, but generally makes few demands.
