Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Does what its supposed to do - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Ryan - June 1 - 8:26 pmThe Corolla, like all Toyotas, has been built with precision to be reliable and practical. I got the S model so I could look good at the same time. The car is fairly fun to drive too, thanks to a smooth and peppey engine and a precise 5 spd manual. I was looking at a Mazda 3, which I still think is more fun and better looking, but the price was right on the Toyota (probably because theyre revamping this model for 2008)with 0.9% interest and $750 cash back on a lease. Its built for smaller drivers (Im 6) as evidenced by the steering wheel being close to the dash and high seat height. After about a week I found an acceptable driving position, but still no thigh support.

I love my Corolla S - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Ari - June 1 - 3:20 amI am very pleased with my 09 Corolla S as of today it has 43k miles on it. It delivers on everything Toyota claims. Incredible fuel economy I commonly get over 40 MPG with mixed driving. On a trip from Sacramento CA to Los Angeles CA I averaged 45.3 MPG with the cruise set to 70 MPH and yes after driving over 370 miles I had over a half tank showing on the display. Styling is very impressive for a compact car. It gives you the feel of a much larger car while driving. Corners like a sports car with very little body roll or tire squeaks. I am the owner of a used car dealership so I drive dozens of cars on a daily basis I would recommend this car to anybody hands down!

Love my Corolla! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Michelle - June 1 - 1:06 amBought new in 2004. Has LE package with upgraded wheels & sunroof. Chose 5-speed manual transmission (more fun to drive). Added leather upholstery from the dealership, which you cant get as an option from the factory-- unless you want to wait a really long time. Also added 2" receiver hitch (for slide-in bike rack), & Bluetooth/iPod compatible CD player. Low mileage so far--just turned 30K and its 9/2008! Great gas mileage, really fun to drive. Very reliable, solid car--when you just shut the door it sounds solid, not tinny like so many other compact cars. Only complaint was the factory stereo & speakers, but now that they have been changed out, Im completely happy with the car.

Great low cost speed - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Gene - May 31 - 9:03 pmEven with a lead foot you get 30+ MPG. It handles like its on rails, and will beat any car in its class of the line.

Woo Hoo - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Chauson Harmon - May 29 - 11:53 pmFirst ever new car, first ever toyota, never will buy anything else other than a yota now. Good MPG, the 5 speed is fun to drive. You get looks at the lights. I wash it twice a week. Its just a great great vehicle. Got it for a song as well. I have a sporty looking car without a sporty price and that I like.

Easy choice - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Daviddgc - May 29 - 10:00 amGreat value. very roomy for a small car, great fuel economy and I feel comfortable with toyotas reliability! I have always had problems with timing belts in previous cars, its just my luck. The new corolla has a timing chain!!!!! I give this little car a solid 10. The only negative would be, traveling over 80mph in high wind, its a little skidish but the pros outway the cons by leaps and bounds. I have read others complaining about the sulfur smell of the new car......It fades away in a few days, this is normal for almost every car!

My First Toyota - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By marksecoshop - May 29 - 7:33 amAfter owning 5 Hondas, I decided to try a Toyota. Ive been very pleased with the overall performance, quality, and simplicity of this vehicle. The vehicle fits me very well (510") and it is comfortable to drive for an extended period of time. I am a little disappointed with the gas mileage Im getting. Im averaging 32 MPG (28 city and 37 highway). Great trunk space. The interior materials are top notch for a vehicle in this price range. Note: The trunk lid doesnt close as well as it should even after being adjusted.

By txdave - May 24 - 10:00 amIve had the car for 1.5 years...its been trouble free! (as expected from Toyota). This is the 3rd Toyota for me. My last one, 1987 Tercel wagon, was trouble free to the end...I got 260,000 miles out of it!!! Anyway..I LOVE my new Corolla! Keep up the good work, Toyota...maybe one day...American car makers will wake up.
