Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Excellent car for the money - 2007 Toyota Corolla

At first, I was hesitant to buy such a compact car since I have driven nothing but SUVs. I sold my 2003 Suburbam about a month ago because of gas prices but when my brother told me about the Corolla I paid attention. I was looking for economical car anyways and went to test drive it. I was hooked as soon as I drove it.It rides smoothly, it has power and it is fun to drive. The features I got for the price, automatic transmission, power mirrors, CD, outside temperture and AC all for the outrageous price of $11,998.00 is a heck of a deal.

Although the back seat is a little crowded, I love it! The engine sounds so nice, smooth riding, easy to steer left or right, petty but powerful engine for 1.5 liter and so easy to keep it clean!

  • I tried it, and I liked it alot... - 2004 Toyota Corolla

We bought a 2002 Corolla and drove it on a 1000 mile vacation trip. It was fantastic. No road fatigue and cruise control got us home in great time. After 2 years, we traded this car in on a 2004 Corolla and all I can say is great handling, great ride, great power, great service and great reliability and looks. The steering is nice and tight, even on the 2002 after 37000 miles, the steering was as good as the day we bought the car. We also got a good trade for our 2002. Buy it, youll like it...

  • I love this car, but I wish ... - 2006 Toyota Corolla

I love this car. Its reliable, its sort of fun to drive, and it gets great gas mileage. I wish I hadnt gotten the CE base model though, because it lacks power windows, doors, and cruise control. I had to have the cruise control installed aftermarket. It started making this weird sound every time I started it up, that would go away after a while. Ran great, no problems. Then my girlfriend bought a Lexus (Toyota motor) and it made the same sound, so I stopped worrying about it. If you want a great little commuter car that is super reliable, then this is your car.

  • Second review since purchase - 2009 Toyota Corolla

Purchased new in April. Just took 450 mile trip. My Corolla owns up to numerous positive comments. Recent trip confirms Corollas strong economy statistics. I averaged 37.6 MPG. That reading was only 1.4 MPG higher than my personal calculations - not a problem. Satisfied with ride. Noticed only minor drifting because of electric Power Steering. Quiet ride. Still making adjustment to having a compact car after always having mid-size (Taurus type) cars.

  • Its an okay car - 2016 Toyota Corolla

Its an amazing car in the summertime. It handles good in the rain. The car sucks at accelorating in the first gear but when you get past first gear the car comes alive. But the winter time sucks in it it becomes very slick the car mostely slides around and the car gets stuck in small amount snow (had a lot of problems with that) because the car is so low to the ground. But once again good for summer. The sports button in it doesnt seem to make alot of difference in the cars acceloration. The only thing i have noticed is that it holds the high rpms in the auto part of the tranny. The interior of the car is very user friendly with a good sounding radio. The trunk space is amazing in the car i also love how bright the lights are on the car but tend to get flashed alot because people keep thinking i have brights on. Its a good car to buy good fuel mileage but not a winter car. For winter i would suggest to buy something different.

With the smooth power band, great gas mileage, and simple but stylish looks, it was no wonder I chose this car after test driving the 04 Civic EX and ION QC3. I enjoy the roomy feeling interior and uncomplicated layout of the accesories. The car handles well on the road but needs better factory tires. In its class it shines.

  • Lexus it is not!! - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I have had every type of car you can think of and have been trying to find a new car to replace my wifes Grand Am. We drove the Civic, Focus, Matrix,Protege,Sentra, and the corolla the Focus and the Protege were the only ones that held the road. The corola we drove buzzed terribly, rattles, the build quality was not there at all! On the highway at high speeds (75) was a very nervous feeling. I had a Camry in 93, when they carred about build quality, what happened Toyota. I think they only care about the Lexus line!

It caught my eye on the lot and after test driving it, I had to have it. It has great pick up for a small car, is comfortable to ride and drive and I had lots of heads turn when I first drove it.
