Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Very happy - 2006 Toyota Corolla

This is my third corolla, I just bought it this weekend, a big improvement over the 2002 model, very smooth ride, like the interior -stone color, easy to handle - easy wheel turns, engine is very quiet.

Very disappointed with the engine. I can fell vibrations in the steering wheel and pedals above 4000 rpm. Never had any vehicle do this before. The interior is all coal bin black and the fabric collects "fuzzies." HVAC controls feel cheap. Ride is bouncy due to non-independent rear suspension.

We bought a 2003 silver LE with side airbags and anti-lock brakes in June 2002 direct from factory after waiting ~6-weeks. We paid about ~$17500 including everything. We had compared it to the Civic but the Corolla is much better. It has a smoother ride and much less wind/engine noise inside. After driving for ~ 4500 miles now we constantly get between 37 - 42 mile/gallon fuel economy which is great! Pick-up is just fine and does not cause any problems. At first I wasnt too impressed with the exterior styling but I have gotten used to it.

  • Nice - but wouldnt buy another - 2009 Toyota Corolla

Rough ride, lots of road noise. Noisy engine. Hard seats. If youre 6ft or taller youll be VERY cramped. Light color interior is bad, dark colored clothes such as blue jeans will rub off color onto seats - impossible to clean. Uses oil canisters instead of spin-on oil filters, location difficult to reach. Not as good as the older Corollas. Would look at something else. May actually trade this one.

  • 1st Toyota - 2007 Toyota Corolla

This is my first Toyota. I drove the 07 Camry, but I found the LE Corolla to be more my fit. I love the looks, I love the economy and I love the price. You could get more with other vehicles, but I bought this for the reliability and name. Not disappointed yet.

  • Ride is nice and smooth - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Ive had this car for over 3 weeks, and I must say, its a great car. The ride is nice and smooth. Though the steering does "wander" a bit, it isnt unbearable. The seating is comfortable for me, and the radio/aux system is nice. The gas mileage is great! A really good economy car.

  • The seats are full of lint - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I had a honda civic since 2006 and I figured I would try something new. In Sept I purchased a Corolla LE.. The car seems ok but the material for the seats is horrible. It is a gray material and it picks up lint. I mean it is really bad. The car is two months old and the seats are filled with tiny pieces of lint. I called Toyota and they said that is the first that they have heard of it. I am very frustrated. I cant remove it with a lint roller. I have to pick each piece individually. WOW!!! all those things I heard about Toyota are true.... bummer!!!!

  • Great Little Car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I also currently own an 03 Tundra 4x4, but the gas cost is killing me so I needed to get a little car. I bought the Corolla to use as a commuter (and Ill use the Tundra to haul my toys around) and I am so glad I bought this thing! The Corolla is a really great little car. Im getting well over 30mpg. The car is comfortable, reliable, and should be safe (with all the air bags in it). I looked at the Yaris and the Matrix as well, but the Corolla fit my needs the best.
