Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

This is a great car to drive! - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By Great car - October 3 - 9:43 pmAfter purchasing this car, and knowing how Toyota builds their cars, I found that this Corolla had what it for me to drive. Handles very well on dry or wet roads. In city, mileage is good but on the highway, I was able to get about 35 mpg; combined about 31 mpg. Interior is very comfortable and those in the back seat are very pleased with comfort. The blind spots that everyone is concerned with is not really there; one has to still move their head to look around. Getting in and out of the car is a breeze and easy. All controls are where you would want them. Great car as far as Im concerned.

Satisfied Customer - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Howard Bell - October 3 - 12:30 pmI have had the car for almost 5 months and have driven it in both urban and rural settings. Both performance and comfort of ride have been quite good. Mileage has been somewhat under the EPA estimate ( about 2 mpg) but is quite good. The primary accessories (heater, air conditioner, stereo) have all performed quite well. I have been quite pleased with the acceleration while cruising at 55-60 mpg on rural highways. This greatly facilitates passing slower vehicles without requiring inordinate clear straightaways. The car could be a little quieter when accelerating from a stop sign.

Great Vehicle - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By em - October 3 - 10:30 amI bought my Corolla about 6 months ago and I love it. I commute to school 75 miles a day, three days a week, and I save a lot of money on gas every month. My gas mileage averages out to almost 33 mpg. I had one trip that I took mostly back roads at about 55-60 mph I got nearly 40 mpg. Very reliable and comfortable.

You Get Your Moneys Worth - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By Dr. Storch - October 1 - 2:06 pmThis is the second 99 VE I have owned. The first one was totaled with 112K on the ODO and that car needed nothing. My current VE was purchased three years ago with 69K on the ODO. I now have 165K on the ODO and I only had to replace the alternator and the usual things like a battery and tires. The only problem I have now is that the CEL comes on indicating a problem within the EVAP system. This can be costly to repair. The car is now burning about a quart of oil every 500 miles. I always change the oil every 5k and listen to what my mechanic tells me. I happen to have a very honest mechanic which is very hard to find! If I can find one to replace this one for the right $ I will!

Smart Spending - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Vaughn - October 1 - 5:50 amThis is my second Corolla and I just love them. The newer one is a little less peppy than my 92 Corolla which I still have with 141,000 miles. I only notice the difference in the Azizona mountians and I believe it is because the 2005 is bigger and roomier than the 1992. The 2005 is a very comfortable car to ride in. I have bought 3 new cars and Toyota is the first one I have, that has not had any problems. The 1992 I bought used and ran it 3 years before changing spark plugs and then it really didnt need it. The key is to change oil and use Toyota parts. The 2005 is well built and I get anywhere from 32 to 35 MPG with the air conditioner running at all times. My 92 gets 30 MPG. Great Cars.

Good Car for the Money - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Corolla Christina - September 30 - 12:26 pmI traded in a 99 Mazda Protege for a Corolla LE. I wanted a reliable car that would last about 10 years without a lot of problems. I test drove a Subaru Impreza and Honda Civic and just felt safer in the Corolla. The car has adequate "get up and go" and has almost no wind noise on the freeway. The seats are very comfortable, they are set higher up and give you a great view of the road while driving. The only distraction is the placement of the armrests - too low on the door. The car has a great stereo and the placement of the interior features are perfect and very easy to use. Overall this is a great car for the money and comes with Toyotas reputation for reliability.

my corolla s - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By J.A.O - September 26 - 10:03 pmI have a 2007 Corolla S. One thing I like the most is the money I save on gas. Also I like the sporty design but they should add a remote trunk opener, a little big horsepower and room in this S model. Other than that this car is great.

Amazing - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By eesseJ - September 21 - 6:10 amThis is my third vehicle this year and by far the best. the second i got in this car and started driving it i was in love. I no longer am wasting gas as i did in my truck, cause getting more then 18mpg is almost orgasmic to me. If your looking into corollas for your kids first cruiser, your 8th wonder or whatever, seriously buy one because you will not regret it at all.
