Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

My Toyota Corolla is by far the best car I have ever owned. From every standoint, the engineers at Toyota have excelled in giving the buyer of the Corolla an excellent value for his money After a week of ownership, I have yet to find a fault with the car and I am quite happy with my new 2003 Toyota CE

The minuses: Car dogs considerably when A/C is on. The manual transmission is not very forgiving. I have driven manuals for over 20 years and I have killed the engine (in getting out of first gear) numerous times. The gear spacing is too tight overall (easy to confuse gears). Would like to see lighted pads for the CD/Radio, cant see which button one is hitting in night driving. Gas mileage has been good (33-35), but not as high as I had expected. My wife finds the steering wheel to be awkwardly placed and I find the padded rest arm on the driver door to be too small. Despite the above criticism, I am extremely pleased with the car, especially for its ride and quiet ride.

Our car started burning oil after just 4 years of owning it. We kept taking it back to the dealer with no luck on getting it fixed. We just kept putting oil into it every week. Then the motor went at 212,000. We were shocked. We will never buy another Toyota again after what we went through.

Great looking car, and great fuel economy. Good resale value and build quality very trust worthy. Only gripe is that on highway driving at about 75mph and higher there is a wierd buzzing sound coming from in my dash sounds like a bee traped in there very annoying, I plan on having it looked at. Oh yeah and if you go over 45 mph and put your back windows down it sounds like a helicopter is landing on your roof, kinda neat in away.

I have loved this car since the day I first drove it. I drive 100 miles every day, and I still look forward to getting in it every morning. The only thing I wish I had is ABS

  • Could be better finish - poor gas mileage - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I am a Toyota fan and have owned many including 3 Corollas, This 2010 falls short compared to its peers in terms of interior finish (hard and cheap feeling compared to wifes 2010 Rabbit). Gas mileage is at least 30% less than advertised and no amount of TLC seems to make a difference. Steering a bit erratic. Cheap warning buzzer. Running perfectly according to dealer. Would not buy another one at this price.

  • Definitely a car to consider - 2003 Toyota Corolla

I have no complaints about my awesome 2003 corolla S. Ive had the car for a little over 2 years, and have had to do no maintenance but change the oil. The exterior is very well made. Ive even had a falcon fly into the hood of my car, and you cant even notice the tiny dent in the hood! All around excellent car!

My husband has a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer, and the car has already been broke 2 times.. and guess who has been there to take us everywhere?? My corolla!! The best car ever built! Thanks toyota..!!
