Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Gas milege is so disappointing - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By ny1301 - November 30 - 6:23 pmI just bought a 2010 Corolla to replace my 1996 Corolla which had served me loyally over 10+ years. However I found with the 2010 corolla, I only got a 30mpg on high way (I commute 80 miles a day), while my old corolla made at least 33 mpg. How disappointed I am! Also there is a bit noise from engine. I am not sure if that will turn to a bigger problem in a year or two. My old corolla was very quite when I bought it.

Good Value! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Opal - November 30 - 10:00 amThis car has a comfortable ride and the steering is very smooth. I have taken friends on a couple day trips, and they agree the ride is comfortable. The interior is roomy, and the trunk space is good for a car this size. I am getting about 36mpg highway and 26mpg in town. The color Impulse Red makes this car appear larger and more upscale. Overall, this car is a great value for the money!

A Wonderful Car at a GREAT Price! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Razzle Dazzle - November 30 - 10:00 amSince I bought my car I have been very please and have driven in a few different types of weather, most recently today in some of the harshest rain I have driven in. The car performed well, but the tires seemed to have a bit of trouble gripping the road, and I found myself hydroplaning a few times. Other than that, the manual shifter seems to be quite sensitive and stalls more easily than expected, but that may be just because Im still getting used to this particular car. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this car to anyone!

A winner in my book! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By KLewis - November 30 - 10:00 amLove the smart roomy interior. Great pickup and manueverability. Only problem was the dash light blinking on and off and CD player jumps tracks. Will take in to repair under warranty. But engine and drive great!

I love my corolla! - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By povd - November 27 - 4:15 pmI am going to give a completely honest and unbiased review since I have never owned a Toyota before. So I drive 15 mins on the highway to get to work. I wanted something that is reliable, fuel efficent, fun to drive, and still looks good. I love my Corolla. When I drove it off the lot, I was feeling like I made the wrong decision, but as I kept driving it, I fell in looove :] I have a 2006 BMW M3 Convertible as a summer car and it is very easy to go from that to this corolla. No problem. The fuel economy is awesome. 40 bucks to fill and I get 500-570 KMs on a tank that lasts 10-12 days. And the seats are comfortable for me. But yeah i have quite a few paint chips but oh well. Its plastic.

let me down - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By mike - November 25 - 10:16 pmMileage went from ok to poor in only 5-6000 miles. Corolla started at 34mpg first tank to 27-28mpg after 5-6k miles. I have always gotten better milage than stated except for these cars. The sheet-metal on the car is too thin. It dents when you wash it. The trunks side-walls are not 2-ply. I had a cardbord box dent out the side when driving around a corner. The padding on the seats is sub-standard. When getting in you feel the tube steel in the side bolsters. I am less than 200lbs. Toyota= D-!

Sulfur Smell - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By pauldp79 - November 21 - 2:00 amBe wary of a sulfuric release inside the car. No one yet knows if this is harmful, but many new 2003 Corolla owners are reporting a "sewage" or "rotten egg" smell that is coming through the ventilation system. This an occur regularly, but there is no definitive pattern. It is beyond annoying.. please search Edmunds corolla message boards for "smell". In these cars, the mileage is also affected by whatever is going on with the engine.

Terrible interior, terrible gas mileage - 2001 Toyota Corolla
By mathues - November 21 - 12:29 amI bought brand new summer 2000 (as a starving college student). My converter died early and I had terrible gas mileage. My interior has just collapsed. I mean its a cheap car, but really, Toyota cant make an interior headliner that looks nice for at least 5 years?

My Corolla is great! - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By Toyota lover - November 20 - 8:13 amI love my Toyota. It looks great and sporty for a Corolla. It is very comfortable to drive and I get 32 miles per gallon on daily commutes and 38 miles per gallon on trips. The only thing that is a little challenging is that it is harder than average to see the rear when backing up, etc. because of rear headrests and the high back design.
