Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Great car but needs some improvements - 2013 Toyota Corolla

It has been more than a month and I am happy with my Toyota Corolla S car. It has nice interior and built in touch screen display for bluetooth smart phone connection, radio/CD buttons. S trim doesnt have variable wipers. All your smartphone contacts are visible and thats a great feature on display. The interior is also nice and spacious compared to Sentra in the same class. S trim doesnt have intermittent variable wipers compared to LE. Its 0.7 inch shorter than LE. Makes lot of noise and vibration when it changes gears to high but then its pretty smooth. When climbing uphill, it sometimes smells gas. It has good pick up (torque) but not like previous corollas.

Easy to drive, surprising power at passing speeds. Got 43 mpg on interstate. All round great car,not as plush as I would like but 1/3 the price of big gas guzzler. Will buy another one some day,,expect to get at least 250,000 miles out of this one. Have had no maintenance isuues,,oil changed every 3000 miles. Very impressed w/the quality of construction,,able to close the doors w/the push of a finger. Braking is excellent with short stopping distances. I can find no flaws in this car.

  • Love This Car - 2010 Toyota Corolla

Ive owned this car for 10 weeks and 4K miles. It was a big change from the Nissan Altima Ive been driving for 10 years. Straight city driving gets 25-28mpg. Long road trips on the hwy get 33-38mpg. At 60mph, I get 38mpg: At 80mph, I get more like 33mpg. I notice the computer mileage shows about 2mpg higher than the figures I get the old fashioned way. Ive stated the old-fashioned fill-up and calculate method. My husband is 6ft3in, and loves this car. He fits very well in the interior, and even the backseat isnt too bad. 2 children with booster seats fit nicely in the back. We love this sporty S model, much more so than we would have a standard model.

  • I love my Corolla - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Great car. Excellent gas mileage...about 36 - 37 MPG for highway and city combined. Love the body style. Very reliable, no problems at all except for the usual things that have to be replaced over time. Front brakes pads and windshield wipers are almost ready to be replaced and Ive put over 85,000 miles on it already. (I have a long drive to work every day.) Would gladly buy another one. Only problem Ive had is the overhead light, its a little touchy. You have to put the switch in just the right spot before it will turn on.

  • My Corolla is still going strong... - 1998 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Bought an LE (Touring) in 1998. 30 seconds out of the showroom, it started making this HORRIBLE grinding noise. Dealer fixed it under warranty (a loose lug nut in the front aluminum alloy wheels), but entire new car experience was compromised. Then, for the first 20k miles, the car made a squeaky old mattress noise -- turned out the Goodyear Integrity tires had uneven wear. Goodyear disagreed, so did the Berkeley, CA dealership. Bought tires (Pirellis) out of own pocket. Noise went away for a bit, but came back at 40k. Bought new Yokohamas, and has been perfect since. Back seat had enough barely enough leg room - - it is a total joke. Auto. tansmission pickup is pathetic. Still LOVE IT!!

it is a fun and affordable family car, it even has a sporty feel and look with the S model and great gas mileage.

  • Most Reliable Car ever Made!! - 1999 Toyota Corolla
    By -

This 1999 corolla is absolutely amazing. More reliable than any Honda Ive owned. 200,000 miles, Ive put on 40k of them in 2 years and only have done oil changes. The car is way more comfortable than civic or integra of same year, ride is smooth and power is sufficient.

  • Civic vs Corolla & Prices - 2003 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Im a Honda man but the new 03 Corolla swayed me. I went to a dealership that sells Honda and Toyota cars and compared them side by side and opted for the Corolla. I could have the 02Civic LX for $13,431 or the 03 Corolla LE with some useless stuff they force you to buy, for $14,309, both prices delivered. The Corolla is bigger, has tighter build, keyless entry, CD and now looks better for less than a $900 dollar difference. The Civic is great but be sure to look at the Corolla.
