Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Excellent Car - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Tylercom87 - May 6 - 10:00 amI bought a new 2004 Impulse Red CE and I am very happy with my decision. The exterior styling is great. The interior is luxurious compared to the Honda Civic. If you compare the interior and exterior dimensions to those of the Honda, the Corolla takes it across the board. The car feels as fast as our 2001 Honda Accord dual exhaust V6. Brisk acceleration without going above 3,000 rpm. It cruises at 70 mph at a low 2,300 rpm. I mainly bought it for the way it looks as compared to the other 10 or so cars in its class. It also has the lowest ADVERTISED mileage. Build quality and paint is really good.

Buy it - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By charleym3 - May 5 - 9:59 amGot the base model, no electric anything. Only added option was cruise control. After 115K miles, the only thing that has gone wrong is the CC switch for 80$. Tires dont last as long as I would like. I do all of the required maintenance and it keeps going and going. Im getting better mileage than EPA extimates, 37-38 in city driving.

Love my car - 1994 Toyota Corolla
By Andrew C. - May 4 - 10:50 pmI love my Corolla. It has stood the test of time. Still getting 30 plus mpg, my car cannot be beat. I have done a few things (exhaust manifold, cold air intake, regular tune ups) to keep my car at its peak and the power of the car has not suffered at all in the past 14 years. Toyota reliability cannot be beat.

One Awesome & Economical Car 40mpg - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By loved my corolla - May 4 - 6:10 amI loved my Corolla, I consistently averaged 35-40 mpg combined city / hwy miles. I recently was in an accident - car was totaled and I must say the safety features kept everyone safe and alive! I am going to be getting another one, hope I get the same mileage with my new one!!

Good sporty little car - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Danw - May 3 - 8:53 pmI purchased a 2009 Corolla XRS, 3 months ago. I like the car a lot, I drive at least 100 miles a day. I deliver for a living. I have had Toyota trucks in the past, and had nothing but good experiences with them. And decided to try a Corolla (a guy I work with has a 2003 Corolla with 220,000 miles with no breakdowns), thats one reason I went with the Corolla , dont like the space ship look of the Civic si. The only complaint I have with the Corolla, is the highway noise above 60 mph. Anybody else, have this complaint? Also, my left front tire is wearing, on the outside edge. Might be alignment, rotated tires and diffrent front tire doing same thing. Would Toyota cover alignment since I have less than 11,000 mls.

1998 COROLLA LE, black - 1997 Toyota Corolla
By guitartec - April 29 - 10:56 am1998 COROLLA LE AUTOMATIC. I bought it in Sept 2012 with a confirmed 98K on the odometer with the intent of keeping it for MANY years to come. I drive 100 miles per day, so I want the ride quality top notch (well balanced). Due to this, I personally installed a new Bilstein suspension, including new "normal ride height" springs, all greasable good quality fittings, super heavy-duty inner tie rods and polyurethane bushings. I did this because the orig. suspension was sagging a bit making it tough to get over the bump at the foot of my driveway.

2012 Corolla LE - 2012 Toyota Corolla
By x76 - April 26 - 10:34 pmSurprisingly roomy little car. Nicely styled. Acceleration is adequate but certainly not sporty. This is a very nice little car that has everything you need or want and nothing you dont need.

This car is awesome! - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By turtlelady - April 26 - 9:54 pmI bought my Corolla in 2009 with just under 72k miles on it. I had a few issues at first but had it VERY thoroughly inspected (every nook & cranny) and found out the issue (the rear brake drums had never been turned), fixed it, and havent had a lick of trouble since. The car currently has 117k miles on it and runs like a dream. It had its first tune-up last summer and that improved the mpg by 4, so now it gets about 36 on the highway. I plan on driving it until it finally dies. Its economical, reliable, mechanically sound, and is just an all-around great car!

corolla 2003 Mi personal point of view - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Jose Olaizola - April 26 - 5:13 pmI like to drive my corolla, its fun to drive and very attractive, mine is red wine, corolla 2003 with sunroof, its a comfortable car. I need more stability in curve The tires 185-65-15 are very high, much better 16 wheels, with stability rear bar and rear brake disc with abs, no drums. brakes are weak.

Great value - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By mrosloff - April 23 - 5:29 amAs a city resident, I test drove several cars in this category - Honda Civic, Mazda 3, Ford Focus, and Nissan Sentra. I realize the category is not a luxury or performance car. Other cars have somewhat better interior quality, but I liked the handling and comfort of the Corolla best. I do mostly highway driving or short trips in the city, but it gets great gas mileage and I think it makes good use of interior space. I still think it is a reliable car and great value.
