Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Stylish, sporty, & safe - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Ive only had my new 05 Corolla (S model, AT with extra value pkg) for a little over 24 hours now, but Im in love. Its an awesome compact car. Toyota has great reliability history. Its so easy and fun to drive. Gas mileage is great. Ive heard people complain of engine noise, but my car is nice & quiet. The interior is simple, but nice...and user-friendly. As for my cars sporty red exterior, I love it. The Corollas the way to go if youre looking for an all-around great compact sedan. The LE models were very nice, too, but the sporty S fits my taste better as a 22-year-old.

  • 3 speed in highway stinks! - 1998 Toyota Corolla

Bought it new now has 295,000 miles, replaced engine 6/09 after 292k miles.replaced alternator, fixed tranny once, interior not to Toyota standards, but it does get me to where I need to go without any fuss, good mpgs but the 3 speed w/o overdrive is horrible. If I replace this car with another one like it, got to be either a 4 speed or manual. Toyota should have done away with 3 speed when they redesigned car in 98. But base version was made to take place of discontinued Tercel. So VE has no clock, trunk release, adj. wheel, etc. Nevertheless very reliable car, was able to replace engine for about $1200 including labor, got one from a junked car with only 93k miles.

  • Faitfull and fun to drive - 2004 Toyota Corolla

I have been driving the Toyota Corolla CE fully equîpped since August 2003. I have had no trouble and I have driven it thru the hardest winter on record with a lot of snow and -40F temperature. I live in a ski resort and mountaneous area south East of Montreal. It has been so good with the mileage consumption and the traction over icy and snowy roads that I dont regret all the Subaru Legacies which I had been driving for 10 years. The dealer is great and I understand why Toyota has sold so many Corrollas over the years.

I can only describe this car like the best, performance, QUALITY, and a lot fun to drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Corolla S - 2007 Toyota Corolla

Nice cheap little car. Lacks performance with a 126 HP engine, especially with 3 passengers on board and the AC cranking, the thing will barely accelerate under all that stress. At higher speeds, at about above 75 mph, it becomes a little unstable to drive on the highway, it feels like you could lose control of it because of the wind and drag. I think the car might be too light. I also dont get the advertised mileage. But on the upside, it still runs. I guess that is all that is asked for by any Corolla owners and nothing more.

  • Love my Toyota Corolla - 2013 Toyota Corolla

I was having to replace my 2001 Mazda MPV and was looking for something that was comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Was interested in a small SUV or crossover; however, I saw this little beauty on the lot and it had less than 6,000 miles on it! Took it for a couple of rides. Love the acceleration and the drivers seat is comfortable for me, though maybe a little lower to the ground than I would like at my age. Banking on Toyotas reputation and Edmunds review, I bought it and am very happy so far.

  • My 06 was better on gas!!!! - 2014 Toyota Corolla

Nice car! Love the redesign (Inside & out)! Not as peppy as my 2006 S. Planned on driving my 06 for 5 more years as was so dependable, but totaled it so needed a new car. I chose the S Plus due to the disc brakes all the way around. Purchased with the convenience package. Love the XM and blue tooth which I didnt have before. With that said, I am so DISAPPOINTED with the gas mileage. My 06 got 33 MPG consistently. This car barely gets 29 MPG. They advertise as 35 MPG which is NOT true. But its still a nice car. As far as reliability, that remains to be seen. Oh yea, I put 5,000 miles on it so far, and still cant get rid of the epoxy smells when I accelerate. Seems to come thru the vents.

  • Great car for the price - 2004 Toyota Corolla

This is a great car for a starting family--justhad baby & didnt realize how roomy it was in the inside. Even my 510 brother fits in comfy front & back.

  • Corrolla Good Car - 2005 Toyota Corolla

CorollaS is a good car, the interior is pieced together to cheap as to what you pay for the car. It is a good handling car, nice look improved 100% over the years.

  • Still going... - 1998 Toyota Corolla

Ive had my LE for almost 8 years now. It has over 118k on it and its still going. I bought the car for its cute, sporty look(I added the rear spoiler and moon roof). I liked the price and its fuel efficiency. My next car will definitely be a Toyota.
