Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Great Car - 2007 Toyota Corolla
By GioD17 - June 13 - 6:03 pmI bought my Toyota 2 years ago brand new from the dealership with 0 miles and I love it! This car is so cute and roomy on the inside! It drives great the AC is freezing cold and I really like the interior design. I got a special package of the CE that included cruise control, power windows and locks and something else but I forgot what it is... lol... I love my car, I just wish it didnt have those black things on the side of the door.. I have a cute White one and the black things annoy me, Im trying to find out if I can get them replaced for white ones to match my exterior paint, but have been unsuccessful.. I love this car though! Awesome car!

Nice & Reliable - 2000 Toyota Corolla
By CorollaHS - June 12 - 2:00 amI have owned this car for almost 4 years. It is very reliable, fuel economy has been excellent, auto transmission is smooth, but not much fun to drive. The car can use more horse power when fully loaded (1 driver + 3 passengers) or climbing uphills. Not very comfortable for long distance driving, wind and road noise is high comparing to mid-size cars. Engine is also loud when accelerating. Not stable on windy roads.

Could be better - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By jb - June 10 - 2:46 pmOverall the 2010 Corolla is a good car with a few minor annoyances and one rather serious shortcoming - steering feel. The electric assisted steering is seriously over assisted at freeway speeds with no “on-center” feel or feedback. The result is a need to constantly correct the steering which makes for an uneasy and tiring driving experience. At times it actually feels unsafe with its tendency to wander in the lane. Additionally, a few cost savings interior details need attention.

Wow you cant kill it - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By n/a - June 9 - 8:10 am250,000 miles and never have replaced anything except tires. If you want a car that lasts mechanically this is your car. I am not easy on cars and this one has never left me stranded, whether on long trips or 100 mph for half an hour. Worth its weight in gold.

Love My Little Yoder - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Ryan Ray - June 5 - 6:00 amBought my car before gas prices got ridiculous. Love the gas mileage! Had an ex-girlfriend who never took care of her 99 Corolla and it ran great. I figured mine would last forever if I take care of it. The engine is peppy, but could use a little more power... especially with the AC on. Its a GREAT car for the price. Luxury car ameneties on a compact. Im happy with the accessories (radio, cruise, remote entry, etc.) I am very satisfied with my purchase and glad I chose this car for my first new car. I highly recommend this car.

3-week impression - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Anton 2 - June 5 - 2:00 amimpressions are all positive. Good quality materials for the interior. Manual shifter takes some breaking in as well: at first, downshifting from 5th to 4th was a bit awkward, but not anymore. Nice handling and great fuel mileage. Overall, a very decent car that is great for everyday use as a car for people who drive a lot or those who would like to buy a car and forget the hassle of owning a gas guzzler. There isnt enough said about how a fuel- efficient car improves ones outlook on gasoline prices. You simply stop to notice them. My car so far is getting 32 mpg in the city. 40 is the norm on the highway.

Small Problems with Corolla XRS - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Alan - June 5 - 1:53 amNice car, but a couple of aggravating problems. Driver seat is manual adjust. For some reason, it is not a perfect fit to the floor; when turning corners, It shifts slightly against the rack it is sitting on and makes a clunking noise. You can feel the seat move as well. Driver side window seems to be a continuing problem. I had a Corolla 99 CE and the window after a while does not stay snug in its frame. Eventually you get wind noise and a window that will not close directly. Overall the car is very good except for the problems I mentioned.

Good looks, fuel economy, comfort & perf - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By RWolsh - June 4 - 10:00 amIts no Mercedes, but for the value you cant beat it with any other car. It has great get-up-and-go, comfort even for a tall person, excellent looks and fuel economy is outstanding. The Toyota Corolla LE is the best choice if you want to save your money and not sacrafice the best things that are important to you...fully loaded options like pwr windows, locks, keyless remote entry w/alarm, cd disc changer w/AM/FM cassette, dual front and side air bags...a bargain you just cant beat.
