Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Great Value - 2008 Toyota Corolla
By srik - July 11 - 5:40 amThis is a great car for the money specifically for gas mileage. My first tank averaged about 28 miles per gallon. The interior is roomy and comfortable. Its pretty nice looking for an inexpensive car.

Grrrrreat Car !!! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Daniel - July 6 - 4:00 pmIn the cons section, this web site states the Corolla is a bit pricey... I dont think so if you consider that this is not your typical entry level car. This Corolla doesnt need audio upgrades (I got the one with six speakers), air conditioning is powerful, SUPER reliable, gas mileage is wonderful, and it doesnt get stolen as often as the Hondas. Ah, and did I mention it is actually powerful? And do not just look at raw numbers. If you want to compare fairly, divide the HPs by the weight of the car, and you get a Corolla that has very decent oomph. Now, if the price for all that is an extra grand, so be it. It will truly make you forget about car problems... And you will feel smarter.

Love it! - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By Elizabeth Libero - July 6 - 6:06 amI love my new Corolla. The bluetooth, storage, ride, comfort etc. is all there. Getting great mileage. Have not noticed steering problem and I have been looking for it after reading others. I like the way it looks too. I am very pleased and would recommend it to others. I do agree the clock should be moved, but thats about it. I find all the features to be up to Toyotas usual standards. I feel like I am in a Camry most of the time. I have had Toyotas in the past, still have an old Sienna. Got this car to get the good gas mileage and it was the most comfortable one out there.

Basic Transportation - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By lawoody - July 2 - 10:00 amThis corolla S is not the most exciting, but compared to my other cars (audi/bmw) is built superior. In 33K, it has required ZERO maintenance costs. Just oil changes and it gets 30mpg mix driving. The S version is much nicer and the interior is pretty good. Handling is only ok. Resale value is very high. Great student car.

where they missed - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By were they missed - July 1 - 9:40 pmVery good build quality for the most part. But where I think they need improvement is the seats I have 10k on it the foam is not holding up. I dont know how the wiper layout ever made it to production the passenger wiper leaves its water in your line of vision (very annoying!) the climate control knobs feel cheap (vague). I am 5,8" 200# the driver door armrest is to low. The trip computer button could be in a better spot. As I said, the build quality is there but they really missed on some of the layout

Powerful little car - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By AOW - June 30 - 7:46 pmIts my mothers car but I drive it every now and then to make sure all is fine. It has been very dependable, never in the shop for anything except brake pads, battery and regular maintenance. Did have problem with weather strip around the front doors. The dealer replaced them under warranty and the whistling noise went away. Every time I drive it, Im amazed by the power it gives. Merging onto freeway is a breeze and the pick up from stop is also great for 1.8L. This is the 3rd Corolla in the family. Cant beat the overall value.

Corolla S 2009 - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By 747mech - June 29 - 1:57 pmI purchased my S in Aug. 2008 and put 25,250 trouble free miles never went back to the dealer except for the recalls which I felt was nothing wrong with the car except for those who want to complain about Toyota I have owned Toyotas since 1973 havent had a bad one yet. I just three weeks ago traded my S for a 2010 XRS because I wanted a few more options and got one of the last ones in my area same color black I also love this car I am now retired and milage is not I problem so those who love Hondas and Mazdas go buyone and have your troubles with them.

A disaster! - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Tre - June 29 - 2:00 amIt was a VERY bad decision on my part to buy this car. For the 11 months Ive had the car, it has been one problem after the other; failed driver power window actuator, stinky rotten egg smell most of the time, HAZARDEOUS to drive on a windy day, squirmy emergency braking, erratic idle, lousy fuel consumption in the winter, numerous rattles and a body that dings too easily. My 2001 Corolla was way better, but its too late to lament now.. Im selling this car once Ive driven it for 2 years to at least pay the interest on the car loan.

great little car - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By herbie - June 28 - 12:33 pmI drive 1000 miles a week every week and I bought this car for economy but was pleasently surprised with the S model for the improved exterior and interior. I have a white one and it really stands out. The real value to me was how little it cost to upgrade to the S model. I have 28,000 miles on the 2005 car already and it just purrs right along.
