Model Overview:

Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.

Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

  • Not as cool but definitely reliable! - 2013 Toyota Corolla

This car maneuvers around busy streets and the freeways pretty easily. The electric power steering was a little hard to get used to because the steering wheel turned so easily especially when driving 40+ mph but I don’t even notice a difference at all now. This is a great and reliable vehicle to look stylish in for a price that’ll keep your wallet happy. I do miss driving V6 engines at times because I came from mostly bigger engine vehicles but this corolla will get you from point A to point B with no problems as long as you’re keeping up with the maintenance and oil change intervals. I strongly recommend this car.

  • Dangerous car when windy! - 2004 Toyota Corolla

We bought the car new and we sold it after 1 year, it was too dangerous on windy days! The car change lane when strong wind! The car is noisy and it cracks in cold temperature (my camry does the same). No mechanical problems. Good mileage. My wife was afraid to drive it in strong winds because the car moves on the road (Toyota knows about it and recommend to install spoilers like the S model at $2,200!

  • Steering Fixed ! TSB - 2010 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I have 17,000 miles on the car. At first the STEERING on center wandering was TERRIBLE on long trips over 60mph. Toyota came out with a fix (TSR involved changing the steering computer) and its now a great car. Before that fix I felt Id have to get rid of the car! I also own a 2004 Honda Accord and 2008 Honda Accord (both manual transmissions). The Corolla now drives similar to the Accords, which I very much like. The 1.8L engine is nice with the manual transmission. The manual makes it a JOY to drive. Its NVH (Noise Vibration and Harshness) is far superior to the civic & NO Kiddy Digital Speedometer. The ride is more like my 04 Accord, which is very good.

  • A great car to have - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Ive had my Corolla for almost 2 years now, and I must say, I enjoy driving this car. Power isnt the best, but its enough to do what you have to do. Ride quality is good. Highway driving is what I think the Corolla is bred for. Its quiet and gets you from point a to b without draining your pockets. I would suggest, if equipped, use the cruise control. It helps the car perform and keeps the speed maintained without hesitation. To get the best out of this, use 93 oct. fuel. Although it costs more, its really worth it.

  • I saw it and I liked it - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I purchased this Corolla after having my Camry for 10 years. I needed better gas mileage and lower car payments. I am also glad these cars last at least ten years. I was not disappointed. The car is actually more spunky to drive than my old Camry. This car can zip down the highway if I push it. It has more personal space than my old Camry.

  • 1 Quality Car - 1997 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Toyotas Corolla simply cant be beat for a quality car. My car has over 104,000 miles on it and I wouldnt hesitate for a minute taking it for a trip across the country. I average 39 m.p.g. on the highway and 32 m.p.g. in the city. Not too bad for a 4 door small car. Its easy to park and manuver in city driving. Both rear seats drop for extra luggage space. The A/C and heater will simply blow you away. For long distance driving it can become a little cramped, but not terribly so. If you do the basic stuff to take care of it, itll reward you with years of cheap, fun driving.

A QUALITY,RELIABLE VEHICLE. WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING 70 MPH IT SEEMS LIKE 50. THE COST LETS YOU ADD ALL THE OPTIONS YOU COULDNT ACTUALLY AFFORD. ITS STEERING RESPONSE IS VERY GOOD. FUN TO DRIVE.

  • Smitten by a baby Lexus - 2003 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I first saw this car on the street, and I thought Lexus had come out with small car similar to the ES300. Believe me I know the ES300 since I had considered buying one. I was shocked to find out it was a Toyota Corolla. I test drove it and was smittened, performance wise, and the interior has a better feel to me than the Camry. I bought a LE with cruise control, and a moon roof for well under $17,000, and I feel like Ive committed the Brinks robbery. Believe me this a lot of car, an unbelievable car for this price. Thank God the salesperson didnt know it, but I would have been willing to pay more for such a substantial car.

I finally got my car in this month after waiting for the color and options that I chose. I have had the car for only five days now but I am looking for to keeping it for a while. It is quite, fairly nimble, and makes you foget that you are driving a small car. I expect that the realiability will be great, nothing less than what is expected of a toyota.
