Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

09 Corolla XRS - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Jerry C - August 16 - 1:43 pmPicked the Corolla for several reasons. Familiar with Toyota quality and reliability. Car looks awesome! Super White looks fantasic. The 2.4L performs well and is quiet, handles very well and is a blast to shift through the gears. Very smooth and easy to drive and all controls are placed well in the cabin. Build quality seems very good at this point. Time will tell.

Miss my 2004 - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Don - August 14 - 11:33 pmI sold my 2004 LE to buy this 2009 LE. This is my 4th Corolla since 1993. I have always found the newly designed models to have things that I enjoyed more than the old ones - until the 2009. I still respect the reliability, the no-frills, down to earth, never-break-down-at-3AM Corolla experience. It is basic, solid transportation. We all know that. The 09 looks sleek and nice and it is, until you get inside and you wonder who fell asleep at the wheel, literally. The armrests are useless, the CD holder spaces are gone, the coin tray is so tilted all the coins fall out, the wood grain is gone on the LE, the knobs look outdated and the interior looks cheap and flimsy. What were they thinking?

Not Impressed with Imports - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Qzardesigner - August 14 - 6:30 pmOwned domestic cars for 20 yrs. Bought this to test the Import waters. I am disappointed. The driver side floor mat is worn, and Toyota will not replace under warranty (Dealer replaced it as a courtesy). The lug bolts break off at the recommended torque, again not replaced under warranty (Dealer again replaced as a courtesy). The carpet in the rear seats is worn from the floor mats rubbing against it. Highway gas mileage is supposed to be 40, I get somewhere between 33 and 38. The paint on the hood is chipped from bugs hitting it. Lousy handling. If this is what you get with an import, forget it. I have problems with domestic cars, but at least I am not paying a premium for the vehicle.

Gotta love Toyota - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Tom - August 13 - 6:16 amI love my New White Corolla S. I fell in love the second I walked in the dealership. Only problem is, dealership couldnt give me my keyless entry remote the day I bought it, so I have to wait. Which means the cars security system locks up the ignition and disables the car from starting when I open the door with only the key. The steering wheel also shakes, so I suppose it needs an alignment. However, it is Toyota, its beautiful and I love the car. It is very peppy for only a 4 cylinder and has great pickup.

Great car - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By kathleen - August 11 - 4:53 pmGreat car, fun to drive! Looks good gets great gas mileage. A lot faster than you would imagine with a little four cylinder. Have had absolutely no problems with this car. Toyota is the only brand I have had that I can make that claim.

Beauty in the eyes of the beholder - 1999 Toyota Corolla
By kenwid1988 - August 2 - 6:29 amI bought my 1999 Corolla VE out of desperation. Needed something to replace my 1993 Accord with almost 300K miles (no kidding). I wish I would have taken my time, because Im not loco for this car. It is too basic. I bought it in Nov. 2007 with 76K miles for $9K! I felt it was too much, but OMG it was a Toyota. Quality this, quality that. Yeah, this car can take a beating, and still run its little sluggish heart. But it is ugly in the back LOL! It looks mad as hell in the back with its squinting eye taillight design LOL! Its probably mad that it cant perform worth words I cannot say at church. If ANYTHING, get an LE model and not the VE, at least you can have power everything. VERY LEAST!
