Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Sorry I didnt research first - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By texas sorry - August 25 - 9:03 amBought the 2009 Corolla have been very disappointed so far. It seems to have a mind of its own and wanders around the road, if you glance away even for a moment you will wind up on the other side of the road. Have to keep both hands on steering wheel at all times. Constantly correcting steering to stay on road. And forget driving on a windy day. Glad we did not trade in our 2005 KIA or we would be driving our work truck. Bought Toyota because we all ways considered them a reliable cars. We see this as a safety issue and intend to pursue what ever means we have to. This is our first new car and will probably be our last as we will be on fixed income soon. Wish I had read reviews first.

Sporty fun - 2002 Toyota Corolla
By wordteaser - August 23 - 10:00 amIm a committed Toyota owner and this is my second Corolla. The first I had for over 10 years. The 2002 Corolla S is sporty, attracted and nicely appointed. I have it in a 5-speed with makes it a blast to drive. It is Toyota through and through when it comes to dependability, low maintence and affordability.

2003 Toyota Corolla review - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Mike D. - August 21 - 6:33 amMy Toyota Corolla LE has been an above average vehicle, but it has had several problems. The keyless entry stopped working around 60,000 miles and the trunk latch busted around 70,000 miles. Then at 80,118 miles my catalytic converter had to be replaced at a cost of $1400. The emissions warranty expired at 80,000 miles and Toyota refused to help me with the cost. I expected a better vehicle and better customer service from Toyota. Overall it has been an above average car, but the quality issues and the service issues must be improved.

Extremely disappointed - 2009 Toyota Corolla
By Nicole - August 20 - 3:14 pmI wish I had had the car checked out by my mechanic friend before buying. I spent way too much on this car thinking Id finally have a reliable car only to have so many problems with this one!!! Im so frustrated right now. The transmission just went out after already spending money on it to get it fixed up. It looks great like theres nothing wrong with it. Ive only had it for three months. Im so bummed that I wasted my money on a worthless car!! Please think twice about buying this car, especially not a 2009. Those apparently have the most problems. Little did I know.

The Best - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By David - August 19 - 4:36 pmMy S model has been very reliable. I had over 84,000 miles on it and driven over 35000 miles a year to work. I recently was in a severe car wreck involving 2 18 wheelers and my car got the bad end of the deal. I escape with only bumps and minor injuries due to the excellent construction of the Corolla. The car received major damage, but the drivers compartment was intact. I walked away from the crash and the Corolla was still able to run even with the front end destroyed. This is a great car and I will get another one as I feel very safe with the Corolla.

Affordable and Reliable - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By jpinneo - August 19 - 10:00 amIve only had my Corolla for a week now, but I am very impressed. I like that it came with power doors, cruise, cd player and power mirrors, all for an affordable price. One of my good friends drives a manual version and gets more power than I do, but I just cant get myself to enjoy driving a manual. I wish it had a little more power. I like that it comes with the option of overdrive. Of course, it comes with the awesome Toyota history. The passenger airbag on/off depending on the weight on the passenger seat is interesting. Plenty of bang for the buck!
