Overview & Reviews
Well into its fourth decade of production, the compact Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car in automotive history, and for good reason. Small, inexpensive, fuel-efficient and as reliable as the day is long, the Corolla is the quintessential economy car. As long as you change the oil on time and don't hit a tree, any Corolla should provide dependable transportation well past the 100,000-mile mark. That's why so many shoppers keep buying Corollas year after year.
Since its 1968 introduction in the U.S., the Toyota Corolla has come in a variety of body styles, including a sedan, coupe, hatchback and wagon. More recently, however, it has only been available as a sedan. Today's Corolla has almost as much rear passenger space as a midsize sedan and its fuel economy is impressive. Although rivals boast sportier designs and more entertaining driving dynamics, a Corolla is nonetheless an excellent choice for smart consumers on a budget.

Our Second Corolla - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Dale - September 7 - 8:40 pmWe already own a 1998 Corolla CE, and we like it so much that yesterday we purchased a 2006 Corolla LE! The car has ABS and side-impact airbags, along with the upgraded aluminum wheels and audio package. We chose the Cactus Mica, which apparently is pretty rare because the salesperson mentioned that Toyota only produces about 10% in that color. Ill keep our 98 for commuting. The new Corolla is much sportier and more fun to drive, and the car bears a striking resemblance to the Jetta prior to VWs latest redesign.

Fun, reliable, and kid friendly too. - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Karla - September 6 - 10:40 amThis is my second Toyota. I am a loyal Toyota fan, and I expect that this vehicle will be my kids car in 10 years when they learn to drive. I have taken this vehicle on several long distance trips and have had no problems. The trunk space is great, it fit luggage for three adults and two kids - simply amazing! The gas mileage is pretty good and the ride is smooth. The tires are something that will be replaced soon, they dont provide much traction for the variety of weather that our region has. Overall, this vehicle is economical, maintenance free (so far), and most importantly fun to drive. I wish I would have gotten the "S" version... but maybe next time.

2004 Corolla LE - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Jurecka - September 5 - 2:00 amAlthough we like the car overall, it has been a service nightmare. Within 24 hours of purchase the check engine light came on. It has been to the dealer four times for repair. They have replaced Idle air solonoid and relay. They have replaced the computer, yet the problem still exists. Toyota is unable to offer the dealership the support needed to repair the problem. I have had a good relationship with the dealership, but not with Toyota.

Money - 2004 Toyota Corolla
By Youre Gan - September 5 - 2:00 amGreat car for the price. With the S version, you get a sporty exterior look to go with the classic Corolla qualities -- great gas mileage and dependability. Ive had mine for a couple of months now, and its really a great fit.

Reliable car - 1996 Toyota Corolla
By mike2002 - September 3 - 10:00 amThis car is very reliable. We bought this car in 1997 and have not had one engine repair necessary. Braking system is only flaw. Very noisy! Been to dealer about 20 times and is never quiet for long.

Great car for a new driver! - 1998 Toyota Corolla
By Janet - September 1 - 3:26 amI have had my 98 Toyota Corolla for 5 years now. I got it when I was 17 and it was the perfect first car. The compact size make the car easy to manuever. The strong braking has helped me avoid some near accidents. Its very easy to park, drive in the city. Believe it or not, it has good passing power. In 5 years I have never had anything serious go wrong ever. A few alignment issues, and now my AC/heat is acting up (at 95,000 miles). Its a comfortable ride even on long trips. The back seat space is a little tight, however. I would recommend this car highly for reliability and excellent gas mileage. 8 solid hours of highway driving before a tank refill.

Love It - 2010 Toyota Corolla
By BD - August 31 - 10:50 pmI have about 700 miles on my new 2010 Corolla LE. It is extremely quiet - I almost cant hear it when starting up. The ride is very smooth. I actually love the steering - a very strong reason for buying it. The steering to me feels tight, and very responsive. It just feels great for me, while numerous other people have complained about the steering. Braking is responsive. Acceleration is good. All in all, I enjoy driving it.
